Oh fuck, the arc I was most afraid of, "wHO sHoT JoHNnY JOeStaR." Oh man, this is also super obvious, but while they had their short exchange about killing, I thought about how much equal and opposite experiences he has with death when it comes in his attempts to save people, and in his other job, to execute them. In the end, he is still a man of his land, and with that comes the law, so I bet he wouldn't really want Johnny to become the kind of criminal who he regularly had to execute. And obviously, he wouldn't want to kill if he can avoid it.
And jesus christ, despite what I say, I do love this chapter, because it's another one of Johnny's highly dubious moments. I mean, on one hand, he has a point, killing may be necessary to get to their goal with the kind of shit they're trying to get away with, but is it right? I just read FV's character piece thats in the beginning of this chapter too, and when I saw that part about him, saying 'he believes the corpse will be essential for the country's prosperity' (or something like that) I just thought "the ends don't always justify the means" and wow, doesn't that reflect onto johnny too? Damn bro, I'm thinking too much about this
