I really couldn´t tell what the card said, it was kinda ilegible if it was kanji/katakana or maibe it was just some gibberish that really you´re not meant to read.

It's really messy kanji and hiragana, at least in the top corner where the shine is and right above her thumb, It's legible enough for me to identify and almost read it, but there's also some characters that I can't make heads or tails of because the handwriting is worse than mine. (an impressive feat, writing more illegibly than my chicken scratch)

Given his record, I'm 99% sure that it's just random gibberish anyway and at most says something like "morning is almost here" (top) and "wow, blood is hard to write with" (bottom) with a bunch of other scribbles from trying to find the best way to write. And of course, the girls are going to over analyze it and find some secret message that wasn't there, which is going to lead to them solving everything while Cid is still just screwing around as Jack the Reaper and only helping through sheer dumb luck putting him in the right place at the right time.

Not exactly straight, but definitely more serious and edgier (somehow) than the manga.
