Something something, slime suits are always at skin temp, so it feels like you're wearing a comfy hug. (Non-canon btw)
Considering all of the members of Shadow Garden are uh...damaged goods...they do seem like the type to need hugs.



*edit: iirc lore-wise, it was #1 because the slime suit manipulation is one of the fundamental skills needed to become a member of Shadow Garden...and it's actually a pretty difficult skill to master at the level they need it.
