this put me off so bad about the future of this manga
Bro lived in fantasy medieval world, but had the worst case of modern-brain-rot mentality
im not saying being edgy for the sake of edgy and kill them all
these ppl took his friends, childrens to boot as hostage, human shield and was gonna kill them
these ppl , are bandits, and about to rob, loot, murder, and rape his village
and last chapter and this one he tried so hard to control his power to not kill them, so bad...
Im gonna drop this off if he carries on the beta mentality, or the moment it goes to school academy arc
Yeah MC is struggling to comprehend this isn't a peaceful time or place. Hell, in the WN he struggles a lot more in adapting. A lot of chapters are wasted on the MC's non sensical babbling.

It started out well but quickly turned bad for me.
I like the characters and the artstyle. It's very endearing.
But the story is lackluster and poorly told.
There's no information on the MCs capabilities. We know he's got some magic but beyond that, nothing. So he can literally pull out anything the author needs him to have at any given moment.
Which he does.
Okay he can do magic physical enhancement and punch a wolf to death in one shot or something. Cool.
Okay he can summon a tornado that tears his enemies to shreds violently.
Okay he can use nature magic of some sort to entangle his enemies and create his own vine army and make himself a giant.
Okay he can use healing magic too. That's pretty useful.
And we have no idea what exactly his limits is or how he's already mastered so much magic even though (as usual) so is it supposed to be difficult. Not to mention I think it was mentioned somewhere that magic was limited to nobles, but I could be remembering that wrong.
is this because he's actually a genius? Or is it that typical cliché of magic actually just being math and our math is just so advanced that magic becomes easy? Or is there a typical game-like leveling system and he got some cheat?
We don't know. He can just do these things cuz he's an isekai'd 35 year old salary man, is what we have to assume. Which is pretty ordinary and typical for isekai stories these days.
Then there's this whole bandit arc. It just feels so wrong.
In a world that has magic and monsters and more importantly magical monsters so is a system of protecting citizens and villagers from those important. One would presume that this village is apart of a larger country and is paying taxes so they should have some form of protection in exchange.
Yet they seem to just get any random 'adventurers'? Where did they get them from? Did they just go to a bigger town and go around saying 'we need adventurers' and accepted the first person that showed them some form of ID? There is no adventurer guild or anything resembling it?
Again, the characters are at least entertaining and interesting by themselves and I do like the artstyle, it's just a pity that the story is so cliché and poorly told.
I don't mind the power fantasy stuff if we get more of the cool characters, it's nice to see children acting like actual children in these stories.
But why is this supposed adult man in a child's body so careless and irresponsible that he needed to be told that the obvious bandits were bandits by a little girl? And why is he so opposed to killing the people that are threatening to kill everyone in his village?
We're more than 10 chapters in and we don't even get a backstory of him, just the fact that he was a salary man. You could take out that part of the story and barely anything would change, he's just a kid with superpowers. In fact it would actually make more sense for his trait of wanting to avoid responsibility and just wanting to chill out in his village.
It's always a shame seeing stories like these that have potential but are dragged down just because the author feels the need to follow these cliches without any explanation.
You guys are arguing about killing, but the stuff he did with the vines was pretty brutal already. Without access to medical care and after losing their leader, broken bones will lead to death sooner or later. If they even survived the initial beatdown.

Bandit gets beaten by "monster"
Beaten but alive, do you see now where the problem lies, due to them being "alive" and not dead? If you expect our MC gonna stay forever in the village to defend it while keeping the enemies alive just for them to comeback in future, then clearly youre reading the wrong manga,
REMEMBER this came real close to bad end, our MC got lucky cuz warned by Turner, had he went somewhere and didnt get in time, old man/grandpa dead, 2 hostage kid dead, he might save the village, but at what cost, the villager gonna know he's OP for his own selfishness and didnt reveal it earlier and became another whole can of worm.
You or anyone else with the same mindset, dont think they ever gonna come back to finish the job? The Old man they tried to kill still alive and knew, and they need to cut all loose end. They lost to kid disguised as monster but they dont know that. So in their mind its still an existing problem
The naivety of some readers is truly mind boggling to me, as I said previously, they used children as live bait/shield to kill the old man, they even blatantly said they gonna destroy the village and move to others, no woman or children will be spared
If you still think the same, here's a food for thought, the adventurer badge/license, theyre real, taken from dead adventurer, the bandit leader was strong enough to beat adventurers and disguise as them, you dont think thats a real big existential crisis for the village
and I agree, had our MC is actually 6 years old boy, that is the expected mindset to have, and this story truly not meant for me, but our MC is ADULT in 6 years old body, trying so hard to control his power to not accidentally kill bandits that almost kill his grandpa, the old man, knowing theyre villains and up to no good to his village after his grandpa, the only threat to them due to him being mage, dies.
You'd think after those hundredths of Isekai, reincarnation and fantasy manga you'd learn what's common sense and what to expect as a readers, there's still some people surprise me to say they disagree.
and someone spoiled in last page on what this story is gonna be....
and holy shit my red flag alert was right...
Alright, after seeing some of information for volumes of the light novel, I think I can somewhat grasp what the future story of this manga will be if it does get more chapters.
So after this whole mess, it looks like there will be a timeskip of 3 years. So ren and the rest of the children will be like 8/9. Tetra disappeared so Ren has to find her which causes him to find a lot of spirits. Spirit needs help with a terrible person in a sanctuary. Theres then another timeskip of like 3 more years and Ren is eleven. He goes to another city called "Malachia" (it's a dungeon city) with a person called Tanya. Apparently three of his childhood friends ran away there to become adventurers and now he has to go find them. They only been missing for three days and apparently they got caught in a trap in a dungeon where monsters roam, and are trapped somewhere. He finds out that the dungeon conquering team selection is happening, so he heads to the exam venue. But the unreasonable task is to drive a truck while carrying a 300 kg basket. He overcomes it with ease by making full use of his physical strengthening, but the rough examiner demands a fight. Then after that, Ren apparently gets involved with a whole war and he's still searching for those friends. He's also with this new character all throughout this. And that seems to be where the light novel ends with volume 4.
Author really have no idea what to do with this story, it becames a dragging timeskip for our MC to search other kid, turns out theyre in dungeon that have the power of Hyperbolic Time Chamber and had to asspull some stuff cuz too much time passed it doesnt make sense anymore, this is LITERALLY worse than school ark, the story went to nowhere, and still going on nowwhere, gooooood god, i hope at least the art and manga version can still save this story, ill just drop it dead if that wasnt the case already,
cant wait the standard rush end axe, typically expected for these kind of stories then
Modern Japanese brain rot: when a hundred murderers are plotting to rape, pillage, and murder your entire family and village, you do your best to refrain from killing any of them. Even at the greatly increased risk of failure to protect your own life and the lives of those most important to you.
Lmao does this MC not have emotions? The fear of killing someone is real but I'd imagine the anger towards those who harm you are much larger. There's a reason you see cases of people unintentionally killing another person. Do they have the mental fortitude for murder? No. They were blinded by anger. How can you not feel anger when bandits want to raid your village, pillage all there is and do god knows what to the villagers??
i mean getting angry at the MC who ACTIVELY TRIES to spare bandits who uses children as shields to kill their protector is kinda understandable. But in the Mc’s defense (he didn’t see them hold the children as hostage like the old man) he has no clue if Humans in that world have the potential of being pure evil. And it saves him of a guilty conscience If wrong. Plus the Mc hasn’t even seen his first public execution. I don’t think it’s wrong for the mc to want to not kill every enemy that he meets if it tears down his mental state.

Wow, so it's just a story of MC faffing about? What a waste of my time. I absolutely abhor these kinds of stories where the MC refuses to participate in the world. F*ck off, authors who write these kinds of tales.
