As for as I remember, she's safe because she's also the possessive violent type who will hit him if another female so much as talks to him later on.

Story is a bit mid after the first arc.

A lot of padding with MC thinking crap so a conversation which would typically be 1-2 chapters could take 10. MC constantly gets pushed around by others because if he stands up for himself other ppl will die because they suck. There is a war arc where it's just MC saving his childhood friends cuz they were way out of their depth. MC also has a lot of time skips but never seems to try to improve on himself seeing as it's clear as day this stuff is going to keep happening whether he wants it to or not. Dude has a princess breathing down his neck about owning him for his own good and barks orders at him but all he can do is sass her back cuz she'll die if he doesn't do w.e she needs for the plot.
