You all don't know unhealthy, shaky and volitile a normal girlfriend-boyfriend relationship is and it shows. You all don't how easily a highschool relationship can end. You all have been comformed to expect relationship to always work out and missunderstandings to always be quickly resolved like in highschool romance slop. Well guess what most highschool relationships don't work out in the end, you probably won't marry your highschool sweetheart and in real life this relationship would be just done for good.

if I had a nickel for every series in recent memory that

• had a weird misunderstanding around 20 chapters in that ruined the entire vibes
• kept it going for 30 chapters thereafter until the series ended with a sudden epilogue

I'd have one nickel, and I hope this won't be the second

The one thing he did that was fucked up was picking up a shift on Xmas eve when they had plans, and then failing to tell his boss and coworkers to stuff it when they took advantage of him and had him work overtime covering for others who wanted to fuck off and "call in sick".

He absolutely needed to not let himself get taken advantage of like that.

Everything else? Definitely on her, yes.

And the entirety of the supporting cast making him the bad guy is just one of those insufferable aspects of many a romance manga where it feels like the girl can do no wrong and even when it comes to light that this was by-and-large her fault, I'm betting none of them will admit they unfairly blamed him, much less apologize.

Of course they don't, just like with the girlfriend in Sensitive boy when the MC went to tell her -What the fuck is wrong with you?- A nosy bitch was like -He did wrong too- When, even if he did, it was way way milder(?) that what she said to him; it's thanks to a third party that the gilfriend realizes her fuck up mistake

It gets far worse. Apparently she doesn't try to reach out to him until Valentine's Day. And then she spots another girl talking to him and handing him something so she runs away again.

as for the "story"... the way it's written, she does not deserve him. i hope there is no good ending, but obviously there will be even more bullshit to get them back together

The problem is that their relationship was almost perfect, it's not like they were constantly bickering, the worst thing that he did was overworking in the date day (that's on him but more on the freaking manager), and his reason was for buying a nice gift for her; hell i think he was gonna said that they start dating for real (months between chapter don't help to remember). That's the problem everyone has, freaking misunderstanding aggravated because of the "friends"

Saw this trash being updated (FMC somehow still gets worse up until ch22) and remembered this thread and holy "I am so wise in the way to the worlds and love" batman. You are trying a bit too hard to be real.

"You all don't know" get lost lmao. It just wasn't part of this story and relationship and the author failed miserably at trying to include such themes randomly. Don't trauma dump because it didn't work for you kek. Nothing of what you typed applies to this story.

The comments focussed on her being a shameless and vile human and their "friends" arguably being even worse, publicly spitting in MC's face over and over and socially shunning and executing him for something he did not do.
The breakup and their relationship are just a means to an end at this point and can not ever be redeemed and commenting on those makes no sense. Same for her character and any of their friends. None of them will be punished and MC will still end up with her (one of the worst heroines in manga as a medium) and this is the ultimate bad ending.

I runined a relationship unintentionally and I have felt guilty for it ever since. That's where my feelings come from in the second paragraph. And I did go too hard in the second paragraph. But either way the statistic support my claim.

These themes started a couple chapters ago, but yes the author should have hinted at this happening earlier on in the story.

Since you called me out. I'll call you out. Her friends are good friends if not misguided. His friends are great friends. They are both realistic charecters. It's realistic for high school girl to in secure. You just hate her and her friends just because they aren't the stereotypical anime girl with a cute flaw but is otherwise perfect.

For the future of this manga I don't know if they should get back together or not. I don't know what the author should do. But wether manga ends up trash or not I'll be happy the author took the risk.

A female, based on overhearing a few words out of context, creates an entire imaginary scenario in her head where the male wants to break up.

She confides that imaginary scenario to her female friends, who immediately agree that it must be 100% correct.

The male tries to clear things up but the female would rather believe the imaginary scenario in her head.

And now this chapter presents it all as the male's fault. Are you just going to give up like that? You're a weakling!

I kept reading because it was funny just how absurdly ridiculous the misunderstanding was, but this kind of shit is just infuriating
