Her image training may have been bad, cause porn is... porn.

But it did help her in forming the courage she needed to ask to have sex.

Plus, I'm pretty sure she was flooding when he said for her to tell him if she feels and pain or discomfort.

I think she just wants someone to understand her during sexy. She did enjoy it so he treated her right.

I also thought she was going to ask him to wear the wig. Maybe next time.

Love these two, amazing story telling.

Her ex's mind was a mind polluted by porn, he wanted to see her moaning with pleasure when in fact it is something that can be painful, even more so when nervousness takes over

she has clear attraction towards him so no, she's not asexual. nobody should be getting their ideas of sex from porn and acting anxious that they don't meet those "standards".
there is romantic and sexual attraction. people can be asexual but still romantically attracted to people. in this situation, i think she just has a bad relationship with sex due to her ex.

As others have said, learning about sex from porn is like learning to fight from video games. It's imaginary!

But it's broader than porn. It's a consequence of media in general. The spectacular reality has deluded our perception of actual reality. We still learn 'how to relationship' by trial and error, communication, failing and reflecting. But dang if television/the internet isn't like doing those things while peaking on DMT.

great chapter, thank you <3
i was curious if the author was gonna give them the Ase to sekken treatment but i see she treats these two differently by not showing the actual scenes, and to be honest? it's fitting for their dynamic, happy for them

I wonder what kind of porn he'd been looking at, I can't remember a single Japanese one where the woman seemed to enjoy it...

Yeah there is a distinction but she literally ends the chapter saying "It felt good and I want to have sex with him again" so I'm pretty sure she is not asexual.

Yeah, I was thinking she might be ace as well, but that last comment doesn't add up.
I think she just had a crappy unhealthy experience with an ex, so she doesn't know what she likes or how yet.
Hopefully she'll find that with Subaru.

Not the dreaded fade to black, I wanted to see them scramble through it and come to an understanding.
Would be great if the mangaka made a doujin or extra about it, like they did for their other manga (Ase to Sekken: Kodomo Tsukuru Hon/ Sweat and Soap: The Childmaking Book) 🤔

I'm a bit torn on that. I wish we could have seen the early parts where they're struggling to get comfortable with each other (plus, you know, hilarious ass grabbage), but much of that ground was already covered earlier in the chapter and I don't think there was enough space to give it a proper telling. Maybe an x.5 chapter later could fill in the gap for laughs, but it's not a necessary part of the main story. Sometimes economy is the right choice when it comes to storytelling and I think the author (and editor, most likely) came to that correct conclusion here.
I feel like the fade to black+"all went well" was either lazy or resulted from editorial choices. Introducing Kasane's apprehensions and Subaru's pressure to make it enjoyable, only to simply end in a "lol it was fine" was pure "tell don't show".

I think this was fine witht the fade to black. What would they have shown? We already know they are a bit akward with sex and showing them be even more akward whilst intimate could just make reading this akward, no?

It’s still possible, asexuality is a spectrum after all. To put it in a perspective that might be easier to understand, have you ever opened a fridge and thought "there’s nothing to eat" despite the fridge being visibly full? It’s a little bit like that. A person might feel hungry (have a libido), enjoy the taste of food and feel satiated (enjoys the act of sex), but the sight of food doesn’t whet the appetite (doesn’t feel sexual attraction, in other words, asexual). As I understand it, for most people, looking at someone attractive is enough to stir up sexual desires (not unlike how watching food videos can make a person feel hungry). However, simply looking at a hot person will do little to nothing to trigger sexual attraction in an asexual person. (Again, asexuality is a spectrum, and the described experiences are not universal)

True. Anything with a spectrum is harder to comprehend. The fridge analogy is a good one, thanks.
