This manga hits on the art, style, pacing and execution. If it gets an anime they can’t slack on it at all.

Agreed. Which is why, if they do make an anime, they have to pick their studio very carefully.

I'm with a gacha acquaintance of mine on the opinion that Shangri-La Frontier needs to keep the quality of the trailer throughout.

Anyway, yeah, Beryl being a genuinely nice guy makes this pretty high tier, along with the swordfight quality (ex medieval recreationist's opinion? Chef's kiss) and I always look forward to new chapters of this.

Getting casually stabbed in the arm is okay (even used strength after that), but in the thigh crosses the line?
Knights usually fight with a sword in one hand. But chasing an assassin like this one is hard even with two legs in good condition.

i doubt he was truly tired from running with the girl, feels like he was faking it unknowingly
He is a middle-aged man who isn't as energetic as he used to be. While the girl is very energetic and super-strong.
Sacrificing an assassin of such skill just to get rid of a tool like Twilight definitely wasn't worth it.
Unless the sacrifice was to conceal something that was part of the greater plan. For example, if the sister is integral to the plan, can't have Twilight blabbing about where she is or who might have her.
Twilight knew too much. Look, attempting to resurrect the dead is grave enough matter that the kingdom's head mage would personally come to kick your ass. If the knights knew who was responsible for that, it would land their whole group in hot water.
In the WN, that's because such attempts had a history of going horribly wrong, so the whole branch of research was made illegal.

I really enjoyed the fight scenes, especially the ones involving Aleucia.
That being said, what the hell happened on page 19? Giambi suddenly went from tackling Heimbritz and holding on to his waist from the front, to a sudden choke hold from the back? How did he transition, did he teleport?

@ShinduPK4 I think the transition is the upper-left panel, the narrow one. Giambi is one of those "faster-than-the-eye-can-see/so-fast-he-leaves-afterimages" type assassins, so he's so fast that after he shoves (not tackles) Heimbritz, he immediately darts around behind him and puts him in a chokehold.

@ShinduPK4 If I remember correctly, there's a similar scene in Donnie Yen's movie Flash Point (or Kill Zone). As Gunlord500 said, Giambi is not trying to tackle Heimbritz as he knows that Heimbritz is strong enough to hold the ground, so he uses the momentum to move to Heimbritz's back to choke him.

That full page of Giambi in the alleyway followed by the full page of Giambi sliced up with Aleucia already a body length behind him was a beautiful way to convey to the audience just how blink-and-you'll-miss-it fast she is.

I know he is a villain but goddamn he is badass. He was fighting not to win/kill but to escape and survive and he almost did it. Respec
