A little sister would call her older brother 'Onii-chan', while a outsider could call him 'onii-san' without problems in my sight, calling someone with '-chan' is as well a childish way, but you can use with a girl you are close with or you are a senior.
eh, '-chan' being childish, I would say depends on how it's said more than anything.

Since from what I have seen, it is sometimes used between really close childhood friends (i.e. they view each-other as siblings).

As for those actually related using '-san' from what i know would just be disrespectful. (for siblings that is, for mother it is used... and I can't tell you why).

Cant see two grow up man calling each other with '-chan', normally they would just drop the honorifics anyway if they are that close, but well i still see it of them they being playful with each other.

Well, i get your vision that '-san' by siblings would be disrespectiful, since it's a polite and distant, but respectiful anyway.
I was just saying from the beginning that from us is okay we call him 'onii-san', since we're not close to him (neither i want to), but when i said onii-san it was because i was seing this word a bit too much, and mixed it here.

They didnt gave a name to him though now that i see, dont them? All drama and it's just 'onii-chan'

I suspect that for "san" being built into one of the words for mother is a "respect for your elders" thing.

Side note... It's kind of interesting where a kanji can be read (or at least pronounced) differently but mean the same thing. While looking up ways to say mother I found these with a common character that could be said differently but apparently are the core of the word:

お母さん - Okaasan
お母様 - Okaasama
- Haha
母親 - Hahaoya
母体 - Botai (I think this one may mean "motherly")

There are other ways to say "mother" that don't include that kanji.

If you want a fun one, it's the meaning of the Kanji.

I was going to explain it, but i can just show you:

Kinda like the ending
Accepting her fuck ups
Able to move on
Having some closure
I would say it's better than others that is literally has no ending or open ending bs

Damn, no ending with a bang. Another dumpster fire that got put out at the end... I can't believe the story was able to pull back at the last second before the last train car fell over the abyss, I was wrong thinking before that the entire thing had already fallen off the cliff.

That Tragedy tag feels unnecessary now. Nobody died, not even any serious lasting injury or consequence; in the end this was just a very shameful memory for these siblings. Now I feel like I got bamboozled into reading a trashy, incest version of A Girl on the Shore which in itself was a mess of its own. Maybe the real tragedy was the normal ending for such a crazy story like this. It was alright, technically a good ending, but not very entertaining. Nothing like how A Complicated Sibling Relationship just kept one-upping itself for a fun and an over-the-top conclusion.

Poor Little Sister, indeed. And poor new boy, if he finds out about her psycho nympho secret: she raped her brother via blackmail and mentally broke him for a few months (unless he has his own seedy little secret).

Well, ending aside at least the swinging metronome for the mood (we're so back vs. it's over) turned this into a fun, wild ride for the most part.

I will be in the minority but I think this manga ended up being something far greater than if the sister "won". It was interesting to see characters interact in a more "realistic" way. The brother truly loved his sister as his sister and clearly puberty and other factors fucked up the sister's brain chemistry and inclinations. Since the brother truly cared about his sister and couldn't take chances of her offing herself but of course since he does view her as his sister the guilt ate him up. I honestly thought he might have commited suicide towards the end out of guilt and digust at himself. But it's nice to see the sister able to let go and find her own path in life and hopefully sieze her own happiness and not dwell in an old obsession. Honestly suprising the brother was able to get off lightly and got a happy ending and find some peace with that. But I like happy endings so it being unrealistic doesn't make me smile any less. (and honestly if I was reading whilst this was translated or not check out the ending chapter first I would have dropped it)

Actually terrible, garbage, cop out ending. Author gave us an edgy lewd mildly comedic incest story then had a complete about face to turn it into cheesy drama.
