Man living in japanese ghost world is such bullshit. Just like creepypasta world (if you've seen that one youtube video you know what I mean). Imagine picking up a coin and getting slimed because "ruh roh, you now owe the spooky ghost compensation! With your life!" Icl man if I died this way I'm coming back and haunting every motherfucker alive

Maybe that's why there's so many ghosts around :pepela:

Seems to me that ghost is a monk, and might have a backstory of it's donations being stolen, adding on that it might be inhabiting the coin as it's latest medium to curse people for taking things thaf do not belong to them.

To me it feels like a classic case of a parent who tries their hardest to give their kids a better upbringing than they had but doesn't realize that that better upbringing is still fucking terrible.

Like from Mutsu's POV she did a good job: she kept Mirai from being brainwashed into a womb-sama by not telling her shit and sending her to regular school, and she kept what's his face (glove guy) away from whatever awaited him in the side branch by sending him away from the family. In reality they both had awful childhoods.

I think a big factor here is that it sounds like Mutsu (and Nana and Yoshie) was home (cult) schooled so she probably has a pretty idyllic view of real school and the secular world in general.

Yea it's just rough all around for both sides in this whole situation.
