@Trov so what you're saying is that the general betraying the king and slaughtering the entire royal family including kids and all people who support them is barely a blip on the evil radar but MC killing these same people who committed these heinous acts is somehow 100x worse and he's deemed a demon lord by the people now?

My best guess is that the cure was from mass instantaneous genocide. Like killing a bunch of ppl yourself in a short amount of time. But still I agree w/ the other commenters; this is bs. Soldiers and mercenaries should definitely have some sort of built up resentment with this logic. Even if you said that the only 2 routes out of the forest end in the problematic country for Pegasus or MC, y not just fly over the MC's country to a different country? Why would you specifically go to the country you just learned was hunting for your hard to hide companion?

The shock value wasn’t bad, even if there were flags that made it a little predictable. I would have preferred more comfy happiness instead of this because it’s just gonna be the generic OP MC travels world with anime friends but whatever.

For an explanation, the novel had a better one: there is a game system in the novel, and killing same race than you give you a malus tittle: murderer->serial killer-> ... -> demon lord. When you reach the demon lord tittle, huge stats boost is received and huge malus in resistance against divine/holy. Though, the mc lose this malus by removing the negative emotions/ evil moral rating (like in this chapter).

Also, what's the difference between starting the manga directly from the next chapter and saying that the MC has Cheat and the whole "prologue"? None, the ""prologue" will never come back up again, no guilt, he even found new chicks at some point.

Sounds like it's based purely on numbers, if a general was planning on betraying the royal family he's probably going to have collaborators so each person is only going to kill a few people, not the one general running through the whole castle killing everyone personally. That would mean each person would only accumulate a little bit of "evil" rather than one person taking it all on.

That is correct, the number of killed people and the amount of hatred/fear they have towards you personally is what does it.
( for example, if a soldier kills another solider in a war the grudge is going to be small )
Originally he saves Gon and the pegasus unicorn separately, and you got a deeper explanation after he saves the pegasus from a noble who was hunting him.
( the noble was also on the way on turning into a "demon" as he enjoyed torture and killing people. )
That sense was probably removed to save pages so it allows them to be found at the same time, but also because the noble ( and his retainers who hunted with him ) were a bit out of place.

It's going to be light-hearted fluff from now on. ( that said yeah, the first arc is really bipolar compared to all the others. )

A unicorn pegisi? Us that study lore haven't encountered that kind of horse breed.

Unicorns are chalk full of Nature Energy and Chaos. Chaos is simply Light and Dark energy always mixing. That's why in some lores, they become bicorns, and only favor those who lost/used their virginity (Don't know why, but it has something to do with their Dark Element). Thanks to a more "Dabble" into the Dark side, they focus more on destruction than preservation.

Now the the Pegisi came from the blood of Medusa after being beheaded. However, the first Pegisi was an Immortal, along with radiating power, but only in strength, not magic.

No wonder the nobles want the hybrid. Unicorns can renew stamina just by standing there, Pegisi can fly. Its their escape route. Way to paint a target on your back, dude.
