@OsoJr While I agree the series is ridiculous in terms of balancing power, you forget they're in a war with various people nearby. MC can't just sit there concentrating magic power since it would wipe out the allied soldiers, instead he prioritized speed to keep it concise to guarantee a kill without friendly fire as he did just now.

For the enemies, the rhino is currently assaulting the reserve army and student volunteers in another location which is defended only by the royal bodyguards. The wolf is at the very front group occupied by Shin, Maria and Cecily.

@Thndslz No it isn't and will never be, Mushoku Tensei has lot of problems many people gloss over, for example lack of consistency really early in the first 6 books, where a literal child mature in most aspects but completely sheltered and unknowing of anything romance and child making(this is actually pretty well described in the novel). Asks a boy her own age to have sex, something she's not even supposed to know or even have the drive to feel.
Or how about the fact that in book 8 the girl the mc clearly considered a sister(it's even said in the actual book during his monologues) in earlier books and has grown away from, he suddenly says that he has always considered her to be the love of his life, and marry her. And then the harem expands.
Let us be honest here wish fulfilment is always bad writing in any story whatsoever, even if some other aspects of the story are well written. The action in Mushoku Tensei is pretty good, the main plot points about the god behind it all are also pretty good, but Mushoku Tensei is overrated.
This one here is generic as hell but it's not a bad story, also the romance is written better because it at least respects the characters and don't misteriously progress at lightspeed just to give the MC some pussy.

@Rzaj problem is that MC doesn't NEED to shoot a giant laser or anything. He already has immense control of his magic and can create practically anything based on his advanced modern knowledge in physics and science. The possibilities are only limited to what he knows, especially when dealing with a canine, it's practically common knowledge that they can hear higher frequencies that humans can't, so MC could easily create a sound with magic that would affect the wolf and not the people around him. MC can make a blade that vibrates at the speed of sound, enabling it to cut through anything. Then MC could have definitely made the carriage itself near indestructible or deflect impact by using what he should know about force vector. These aren't that advanced of physics, if MC can concentrate sun rays into a rain of beams, he definitely could have done everything that I mention.

Sorry to butt in, but Are we talking about the manga or the LN because the manga is really good in term of story telling and world building, EXCEPT during the Royal family arc and the latest "Rudeus in university act", btw the MC is not that sheltered in the manga, and actually actively seeking sex (or just being perverted)

I don't really think it's overrated tbh, it is indeed really good (except for the arc that I mentioned), I honestly believe that Overlord is the one that could be considered as an overrated isekai bullshit

@musicfreak12 "btw the MC is not that sheltered in the manga, and actually actively seeking sex " Never said he was, the one who is sheltered is his partner, the girl from the rich family, I though I said that pretty clearly though.

That scene makes 0 sense, and even the aftermath with him thinking he was abandoned was also bad, because her entire dialogue before the whole scene meant the exact opposite, he lived more than 10 years in his new life, and had a very happy childhood, that's more than enough time for his lack of self esteem to disappear, which is what makes that development hard to swallow.

As for the "Rudeus in university", that was the arc that made me drop the series, I forgave the problem I just described above, but this one simply insulted my intelligence far too much. Like I said everything but romance was pretty well written, however the romance aspects are so trash tier that I simply couldn't proceed further. And that arc was pretty much just a romance arc.
As of Overlord yes it's a bit overrated too. Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta is a much better story by comparison, even though the MC is not a villain like Ainz is slowly becoming.

Miranda makes sure in every panel that her crotch is directed at the viewer and its shape fully visible.
Such meticulousness.
