In the original WN run, the hunters weren’t added in, it was just that bunch of devils that were acting separately.
So far the changes made that are here in the manga are based off the LN changes.
That creepy priest that wanted Sicily, originally he wasn’t brainwashed and was acting on his own and no devils were involved. And his little thing ended fairly quickly.
Here the hunters turned devils were added to elaborate on context about what happens when humans turn into devils. They also wanted the MC’s group to actually struggle more.

@hayatekanzaki Esp. in this case when humans become sentient devils via Strom's method; iirc it was said previous humans-turned-devils tended to go berserk and lose their reasoning.
Anyone who is trying to kill others should accept the possibility of death if they don't then they are a hypocrite to be willing to kill others but hate someone who defends themselves and kills one of their allies. Also the hunters are already hypocrites they hated the nobles for the way they treated the commoners as playthings and not as humans but as soon as they became devils they became just like the nobles treating the commoners and nobles alike as insects or playthings.
Bruh what the point telling us about her becoming demon backstory with scumy nobles who anyone already know then tell us after become demon she doesn't feel any regards to humanity but die with seemingly still like human and tell the reason she become devil is to kill herself?? Good...
Other fight are meh, duo winning fight because they already 10 years together, wtf you win cuz your enemy get agitated and rushed toward you.
Prince fight meh too, cuz enemy too dumb to use his magic, why he throw all knives at one and only few on blank point. And abit correction aren't space magic like that not make point a to b straight line but make two point become one.

Oh like how you helped nobles throw away their "playthings"? You closed your eyes when those horrors occur, and only when it concerns you go on your high horses. You were part of the problem when you serve the nobles, you really don't have any moral ground to stand on.

Really now, is that supposed to make us feel pity you? That's just stupid, instead of killing yourself without bothering anyone you go on a rampage, killing people who wanted to live just like you. I'm glad this character is gone.

I don't think we have to feel pity for her, she was a bad person who did bad things, she was selfish. But it does give us an insight into what a devil is. They seem to sacrifice their soul to obtain that power. They're burning their humanity away in a blaze of fire. They're empty shells. Theres probably no road back for them. It's like a vampire who has turned.
