Yeah that is an super interesting question 95% of the GB/TS manga skip so I hope it does go a little further on that path.. then again if a TS story actually took dysphoria at face value you would probably have to add tag for horror and psychologie


But yeah I like how this author take gender seriously but not too seriously either it is a balance that is nice

I don't think it will be that deep of a rabbit hole if you look at the mangaka's other works.

You can be surprised with how some mangakas are. Sometimes they do! This is similar to the last one where they change genders by heart beat and the crossdressings too. You often catch certain cliches and plot points.

I know the author's previous work, yes.

Given that instead of a fairly small cast centered around two individuals, we have a class' worth of students and a full closed-system experiment setting with a large mystery element, I would say things are already rather on a different track.

I'm not saying we're getting some sort of psychological tag or deep cerebral thriller. Only that I hope that this series delves into the questions being raised by Minto in this chapter, and more.

This is paradox in that universe, especially Takumu.

Takumu is (or, seems to be) gay. So if he likes Mint and wants Mint vice versa, is it gay for a girl!Mint to like girl!Takumu? While Takumu likes Mint when they are both guys, but if girl!Mint likes girl!Takumu, does it count same sex attraction, or is it because inside girl!Mint is still boy!Mint, and that's why they like girl!Takumu.

I do think the implication is the Noa is the one of the group who got their wish granted already, but I'll hold out on presuming that being the case until we get more information.

And even to that end - that's one facet of Noa's entire person and character. Everything else going on that we've seen from Minto's perspective, makes Noa a complete mystery that's not really been touched upon (though understandably, given we're only 8 chapters in).

When you say Takumu, do you mean Minto? Minto's the short one who's been the lens character from the start; Takumu is Minto's friend who seems to be gay and has a crush on Minto.

Or are you picking up on something that I've not noticed?

You could have hidden your actual agenda better if you hadn't thrown in the "from California" quip.
