After reading this chapter, I can definitely understand how the tears slowed you down. I'm sobbing too. Lost it at "I wanted to be your real girlfriend." It's rare I actually come this close to crying from anything at all, but this manga took a steel chair and broke it over my head while a bunch of ninjas cut onions directly in front of my eyes. That doesn't fully encapsulate the pain I felt here.
I love that this manga ends on a hopeful note. She was always going to die. It was inevitable. But we should let ourselves be sad that it came to that, let ourselves grieve, and ultimately be happy that it happened. Those experiences happened, and Hoshikawa can ultimately learn from them and become a better her in the end.
