So is there any way to download our mangadex follow list for offline storage/integrate into mangaupdates? I'm afraid of another batoto-like shutdown but this time without the grace period to download our files.

They were hosting images on Google blogspot. Google found out and yeeted them.

Who the hell upload a (translated) manga or any modified tempered copyright violation file to a blogspot!? You know to do anything "not really legal" is not getting involved with anything legal, that's the first rule.

@DVeils Sad it would be better if they did.. for less traffic because people will surely check it.... just to see that it's not updated in that language.. this might help in the slow loading of pics and such..

Actually, they are not entirely out yet. Unless they are not affiliated, there is a .org of it that is still up and running, as of this posting (I even double checked, and the images were working on the one I picked).
Of course, that could change in the near future.

@kuma @anon259 I noticed them doing that years ago and wondered how they were getting away with it. I figured it was always a matter of time before Google caught on and put an end to it.

Also made their attempts to block people downloading the manga images from their site hypocritical in the extreme.

Lots of mangas need to be updated compared to kissmanga, what im talking about is that a lot of mangas have missing tags and genres such as isekai tag. Plus some mangas have a lot of missing chapters, such as "Starting from Today I'll Work as a City Lord" here is at chapter 35 and in kissmanga was at 195

@Treyon MangaDex differs from KissManga because we don't host official versions of a series unless the series is out of publication or the publisher lost the license to the series. If you see chapters like that missing, it's not because something needs to be uploaded, it's because those were officials you were reading. It won't be uploaded to MangaDex.

You can read articles in regards to new law copyright effect on 1 January 2021, i know this is also going to affect not only kissmanga and kissanime, but also mangadex here as well. :(

@Komaru new copy law 2021 is actually that Japan will prosecute oversea privacy distributor and even user as well But it not yet active and oversea server outside Japan is still out of Japan control, same to law enforcer . Kissanime so far said that they got DMCA but it not yet confirm by any official source. On r/manga and r/animeprivacy said that it has nothing to do with DMCA or licence but because Google server nuke them for store shit lot of data for free . same case happened to Mangarock which they claimed DMCA, but in the end it was because they put pay wall on served they did not even owned
Am still searching for answer now,

@dreminh

Even though with that, i am not sure how are we ever gonna get more manga pirate since there is some good obscure manga that we want to read. The future of manga/anime/Japanese culture fandom is going to be really shrunk into the small fandom due to this.

Japan is really destroying overseas piracy a lot because of this!

@Komaru that sth hard to foresee, you see even American you can still pirate Comic, porn and Video game , music ..ect you name it. to the point that publishers have to put it on there own hand like DMR, one time use code , launcher ... ect . problem it is how to enforce the law . FBI 's 2002 said the same thing but hey i watch it every day and no one yet knocking my door for 20 years. unless it in Interpol 's law or International security law i hardly think how Japan can enforce there law on oversea server even America and EU having a hard time with it . unless they hired haker and nuke the server or having good relationship with internet provider to do such
Only time will tell

A sad day. This site is the best alternative I've found yet but doesn't offer even close to the same content because of it's rules. Back to the old days of keeping a personal list of what I'm reading and fishing for them.
