Thanks, don't worry if it's average or not, I read Rent a Girlfriend, I have low standards. 😉
Well least you'll have alot of chapters to read lol, I could never do Rent a girlfriend I'm just not big on NTR at the best of times and that series author fetish is hardcore on display lol.

This art style and strategy guide makes me feel so nostalgic. All very retro and quaint, like it's only the 2000s.

Hi guys, TL here...

In the discussion for ch 1 some people told the scanlator to not upscale it, I personally think this was bad advise.
The text is much harder to read, ch 1 was better in that regard.

Thanks for your work translating this.
And it also gives me anxiety while TS-ing this. But I think the balance is good. I'm not planning to upscale RAW here onwards. Until tankobon is released, please bear with it.

So Sana didn't destroy the book because of its aesthetic value. Well, that's unexpected. But I guess in a world where there's probably only a printing press, a book that looks like that is futuristic!

The book is useful to prevent tragedies, but this one is hard to solve. We don't even know what happens to Dolgus' tavern. Did it fall when he died? That's the safest assumption, but it could also have been burned and Dolgus is still alive.

I guess a swarm of "Sticky Slimes" attacked area of vicinity. In the last page, she opens a reference that says "Sticky Slimes" (if you zoom hard enough, you should notice it in RAW and in this TL).

Is the whole thing in color?
It should, until the author decides it isn't anymore.

Hmm wondering if this will go the way of the other cheat book series? Seems to be pointing that way of eventual world saving escalation.
Considering that the book implies the existence of a game, I'd bet that there'd probably be an aspect of world saving in the future. Which JRPG would be complete without a dash of world saving and god slaying? :ROFLMAO:

Thanks for the chapter!

Man, if she's gonna just decide "nah, never mind, it's too pretty", the cliffhanger feels kinda cheap. Now obviously if she burnt it there wouldn't be a plot, but the way I see it, there's two good options there:

  1. End chapter 1 with an open-ended "what the hell do I do with something this powerful?" and reveal in chapter 2 that she's just kept it hidden for now without committing to a decision.
  2. End chapter 1 with her (or someone whose judgment she takes seriously) being convinced that the book is so dangerous that it must be destroyed, and counter that with an even more compelling reason why it must not be destroyed; when the latter force wins out, acknowledge that keeping it is still a terrible risk, and write her behavior accordingly.

The real question is if the book gets updated by here actions or does it stay static?

It would be cute if it stayed just her helping her little town but if it becomes bigger than that i wouldn't mind

hm. given that the synopsis says it has romance, and it's a female protagonist isekai, my bet is that the consequences will be that she ends up getting married to a hot guy with very high social status

There is an option to "Stretch small pages" in the settings. That way people can cater to both sides by NOT upscaling it.
