holy shit..... either he becomes super strong all of the sudden, someone appears to save whats left, he dies and reincarnates again or he time travels...
Another is that he somehow manages to escape and uses the bug too and uses it for 1000 years

yeah the author really showed how bad their writing is with this one... OMG we just made the most powerful character ever by the most cliche thing who has it out for the MC for thwarting his evil plans to begin with ... somehow trying to claim that the revenge is justified when the character in question knew he was in the wrong the whole time

@nogenem with the shitty writing here it should mean Zeff was super op from the start yet all he was able to do was use his advance knowledge of stuff to get an upper hand not to get a powerup

I’m ALL for super overwelmingly powerful villains but this guy was just a mess. I’m okay with stretching my imagination a bit but he literally came outta nowhere. His whole conception as a character 2.0 was wonky as all hell. I can ramble on and on but I just don’t like this at all. You can explain all this to me in the best of ways but I just hate this to its core. Partially because of this stupid antagonist and partially because now the author has to haul literal tons of snake shit to even remotely deliver an average conclusion, that or he does the MC now suddenly strong, he win, okay, the end, bye bye.

Edit: I’ll admit the CONCEPT of having a magician rewrite literally EVERYTHING the world has ever known about magic is great! BUT! BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT!! The execution was absolute ass. No explainations given. No theories on how this new magic line and system works. Nothing! Just boom! Now he super powerful.

Was this series cancelled or did the author just get bored and decide to wrap it up in 2 more chapters? Cause this was kind of a leap.

This is shit. This villain makes no sense. If you write a system for how magic is supposed to work and then you just ignore those rules entirely, how the fuck am I supposed to buy into the stakes? What the villain is doing is impossible according to the rules of the world. He is supposed to basically be a complete magic cripple, and yet somehow he's capable of wielding nuclear bomb magic? No, it makes no sense, this author is retarded and should feel ashamed for being such a hack.

@nogenem Frieza apparently mastered his golden form while trapped in hell inside of a cocoon surrounded by happy fairies and stuffed animals parading around him trying to make him smile every day pretty sure that doesn't make sense either; but if you want an answer that makes some kinda sense then I guess: he used his practical knowledge before he lost his magic to create an entirely new system that doesn't work the same way normal magic does for thousands and thousands of years mentally while trapped in the white room solely thinking about what he would do to Zeff when he got out of his prison being the only thing that kept him sane the entire time.

@Treyon only things I can think of are, his mental-self of his first life either sends him back in time or figures out how to effect that timeline and fights Grains himself the results of which are, he is erased and Zeff can't pool from his former self for wisdom anymore in exchange for time to stop/fight Grains.

A lot of people predicted this would happen when they put that bug on his head in the comment section of that chapter, where they go from here will make or break this series. It's rare to see this happen so I am more curious then hyped to see how the author handles this.

@RevereShin The issue of having to actually explain all of that is that it would have to be split up over several chapters, since he re-wrote it all from scratch, which isn't feasible. It also would have made this chapter MUCH less impactful.
