Is this where the story goes downhill? Not that it was all that far up hill to begin with, but I recall reading a few peoples back and forth about something major that happens at some point. I'm guessing thats now.
Damnit people, calm down with the spoilers, or even the semi spoilers like "No, he won't die yet because [spoilers]". At this rate there won't be any comments for me to read, because everybody will be blocked.
@Jeikob
It may seem weird because this is the first side story/POV of the manga but this is the everyday on the novel. On the Web Novel always is 1 side story every 5 Kumo chapter and on the Light Novel most of the time is 1 Kumo chapter then 1 side chapter. If the manga really wants to go beyond the labyrinth sooner or later it will need all the skipped side chapters.
Not really but that depends on you. There're 2 major shift points (or downhills for some people) on the stoy:
1- When Kumo exits the dungeon the pace becomes a lot more Plot Heavy and with it longer Side Chapters, the story still about Kumo's survival though (Obviously this point depends on how much you like the side story and new characters)
The spoiler below is about how the story advance and not about certain events or characters.
2- After the final power up the story literally shift it genre forgeting entirely about the "Survival" and becomes more about politics and world scale strategies towards
an event that will literally decide the fate of the entire planet. Kumo is still a monster (she kills, eats or do whatever she wants) but now there're things she can't get with just brute force and will need to gain new friends or form alliances with other factions.
(This is WAY later on the story after volume 7 when the manga is still on volume 3. This is when the story becomes even more plot heavy so again this can be a downhill depending on how much you like the overall plot and new members of each group.)
Note: There're still fights and some really good ones but not one every chapter like when Kumo still was inside the dungeon. Long story short all depends on what you like of the manga. The cutsy faces and actions of Kumo or the plot and the complete cast of characters (without the side chapter is just Kumo for now).
As a note, the plot and what has been revealed right now is still on diapers (again even more without the side chapters) of what is yet to come. Ronandt (the mage that did nothing in this chapter) is one of the most important persons later.
@linkhuesitos15 so basically as long as this doesn't end as one of those stupid LN promo mangas, we should be set for a couple floor's worth of pages, right?
Please no more recaps from another point of view. We saw what happened. The last two chapters could've been summarized in two or three extra pages with some speech bubbles in the regular chapters.
Next chapter in May?
Can someone please cast a time warping spell so we don't actually have to wait?
Also, for a great mage, seems like Kumo-chan is much more befitting of such title than this human.
@Pokoj11 well unluckily for you if this manga continues to when she makes it to the surface the manga is going to need to cram a ton of human's perspective on you, it's been slacking out on it ever since the begining.
