It's basically an apples and oranges comparison. Well, except one of them looked like shit, smelled like shit and tasted like shit from the get go.

I was only ever reading grapara in passing every now and then, but I could tell nothing good was ever going to come from that series. It really doesn't surprise me that Katsura is someone who would pull that kind of crap with a published series and expecting to not get a bad reaction from it.

If you're going to write some ntr trash, just write a doujin, don't get people invested into a story and then shit all over you MC after getting your audience cheering for them to "win" (this goes for Suga as well).


I honestly can't see this ending in any satisfying way if that actually happens, and that would also be pretty disappointing, especially since we still have no confirmation on who the third girl in the photo is.

I'm not sure how this one is doing on ratings right now, but all I've seen is some people getting frustrated with the pacing and nothing that looks like it's going to end up on the chopping block (that could change really quick depending on how the next chapter goes). I'm not sure if any of his other series got cancelled or not, but I do remember seeing something in the one series about how he seemed to have had to wrap it up quicker than he wanted to, but was somewhat satisfied with how he ended it.

I'm still going to be dipping out on this one for a while, unless I hear about something positive happening, as I'm just tired of the bait and I only came back to this one because I was confused when some asshole decided to get the "Mature" and "Sexual Violence" tag added to this series.



Kind of shows how writing ntr is just poison that fucks your creativity.



Suga pretty much just deals in weird, but not overly disgusting fetishes, so I'm still holding on to hope that he doesn't go down the dark path, as I'd also lose a lot of respect for them if they do.

I'm almost kind of hoping that this series is just Suga trolling the ntr lovers and baiting them into reading something that gets a happy ending and frustrates them.

I guess I'll drop these here if anyone is looking for something with similar themes, just less ntr bait.

A man of culture. There is another manga reminiscent of Itoko no Oneechan, but with the drama dialed up fivefold: Ai no Senbiki. It’s about a high school student who grew up without a mother and is starved for maternal affection. He signs up for a "sugar mommy" app (lying about his age) and contacts a woman, naively thinking it’s just an app for meeting mothers. They meet at her place, eat, and chat just like a normal mother and son would. Afterwards, she starts undressing him, but he explains that he was only looking for the maternal attention he never had; she hugs and comforts him on the sofa—and up to that point, it seems like a tender scene—but then the protagonist dozes off for a moment and, magically, wakes up in bed with her on top of him. He doesn't remember what happened next. Days go by, and his school finds out about his encounter with the MILF; he gets suspended, so he never sees her again. One day, his dad tells him he’s getting remarried and introduces him to his new mom... guess who it is? What follows is a massive wave of manipulation on her part.

Knowing Japanese culture, any other explanation than sex for Luna meeting a random guy from a dating app in a HOTEL ROOM to get rid of The Urge™ will be ridiculously far-fetched.

You don't need to go to Japan for that. It would be ridiculously far-fetched anywhere in the word.

"Oh, I dressed up, met some guy I met through dating apps and we went to a hotel because I had the urge to play Magic the Gathering. I swear, honey!"

But this is a romcom that doesn't take itself too seriously up to this point. The mangaka went out of his way to hide any confirmation of Luna having a currently active sex life and for what. A wham chapter where he shows all the undisclosed panels showing Luna fucking left and right? What would be the point of that? To move from RomCom to Psychological Drama?

If that's the end game, then this would be a bait and switch that would make even Katsura Airi go "bruh..."
