That's pretty bad storytelling then. Why should the reader invest in her struggles when there's nothing interesting about her other than being a cunt. If the author wanted us to see another side to her and care for her then he or she should've showed inklings of that beforehand. Saying "oh she acts like a teenager it's like real life" is a terrible excuse to a bad character. In another story with a better more confident MC I might've been more forgiving but here? Nah. She's the type of girl you stay away from and not bother with.
