I agree with for the most part except Kusunoki being a simplistic one-dimensional cardboard portrayal. Based on previous dialog it seems she has other personal issues that haven't been shown in the narrative yet, which makes her a compelling character to me.

I don't think she will be a love interest at all. This is one of those stories where the OTP is decided from the get go. She will most certainly however have a redemption arc. That's the cliche part of the story. If she was portrait as unapologetically evil it might have been different but she was not. Her reasons are as deep as a puddle but there are reasons.

Pretty much the same things that make her irritate me: being possessive of Kusunoki (who she didn't even meet for years), yelling for no reason whatsoever... You got a point in that at least she didn't call her "ojou-sama", which is really creepy

Ps: MC is slowly improving, but his behaviour in the first chapters was also annoying as could be
