Just as he said, even if Takeru can defeat it easily, Takeru's still a "citizen", and he's a "hunter". It's his duty to fight and protect citizen

It's because he's in a position that he swore an oath so. He's a hunter and he's a civilian.

No soldier would make a civilian go fight an enemy on his stead even if that civilian is on better physical terms than him. That's not the oath they took.

I will say this might be the first time I've seen an MC try to get the original soul back into the body they now inhabat. I kinda like that just hope it isn't a nothing burger plot arc where it just ends with "Well he died that day and this is your body now" or "You were in the body too long and your soul is fused".
