@shoker I'm also leaning towards him as well. Only reason to have this tension for the helmet slowly cracking is to have someone that he would recognize under that helmet. Other than random maids or adventurers, he's the only one that has shown a relationship with Takeru. Chapter 37 Page 13, has the Dark Knight in the background for that scene, so I'm 99.997% sure it's not Edelweiss. As secondary evidence of it not being her, the Dark Knight doesn't use any magic. Just Physical attacks and Swords, sort of the opposite of what Edelweiss would be capable of. Chapter 37 Page 17, also shows it's couldn't be New Takeru in Takeru Classic's body. His body and head are literally still on the stage. My Outlier unlikely option, would be it's a "fallen angel". I've mentioned in another thread, we don't actually know what the pantheon of this world looks like. We don't know what God or any of their retainers are/if they exist/what they look like. We could be in a Helck situation.

Just as manga has traps, there's demons with human genders descriptions since the beginning of the creatoin of manga. But I know a bitch with a multiple tits is a female dog, and a demon with long hair that has always been described with female terms is a female demon. It's because of mindsets like yours that english voice acting dubs can get away with changing the lines of anime series to suit their own agendas. It's annoying, disgusting, and benefits no one.

You think she magically stopped crying and put on armor and was with the Demons?? Hell the Knight was standing next to the dead body, so that also makes no sense.

I believe its his trainer from chapter 8, Grado. Their design feels similar.

Still possible to be Edelweiss, given Pandora is introduced in the chapter and flame mage suddenly talks about Edel.

All the flag leans toward the knight being demonized Edelweiss, will author divert from the expectations or build up? We will figure out next cchapter.

And this is why we don't use singular "they" for specific individuals. It only works as a last resort when we're dealing with theoretical individuals of unspecified gender. In the first two bubbles, she was talking about the Demon Lord. In the last bubble, she was referring to demons generally. We can't talk about this unambiguously because of the sloppy use of language.

We don't need personal, invasive inspections to determine the genders of sexually dimorphic creatures. It's got long hair, it's wearing a dress, it has delicate features, and boobs: It's a woman until we hear otherwise.

And here's the fun part: The girl can just be wrong and, through the author's desperate need to make the girl-looking thing a dude, just misgender him. There's no need for a Human's snap assessments to conform perfectly to objective reality.
