My knifemaking instructor quenched his knives in used vegetable oil and one day he found racoons had knocked two 10lb lead weights off the bucket and drank all of the oil. Not sure about how many there were but they got about 5 gallons of it.

Huh. Apparently, tanuki isn't a racoon. Always thought they're the Japanese racoon but nope. Racoons in Japan are actually an invasive species and their origins are very peculiar. Love me some random fun facts while reading manga
