Let us block authors and artists, not just users who post the manga

Quite frankly, im tired of seeing so much ntr and cuckold porn manga in my latest updates. I want to be able to check the latest uploads and avoid those authors and artists because i find it very triggering, and if we can block the authors/artists (because those authors/artists who post ntr and cuckold porn tend to only post that kind of porn) we can still see updates from anyone who has uploaded non-ntr/cuckold stuff

Then report them when you find them. This is still a "you" problem.
I meant plenty of ntr that isnt considered to have sexual violence, like that ntr girlfriend series or whatever its called, not to mention any offshoot of ntr or cuckold manga

And as far as esoteric tags like NTR, title main page>mangaupdates title link>Categories.
Im using mobile and there is no categories page.

My point is more so that it's a useful feature that's being dismissed not because the feature idea is bad, but because people don't agree with OP's method of using it.
The impression I got from the nay-sayers is just that it makes more sense to use a feature that should in theory do exactly what the OP wants to accomplish (assuming every manga is being tagged appropriately), instead of adding a completely new feature that will require each individual user to manually maintain their own exclusion list.

I do have to agree that it makes more sense to put more effort into tagging everything appropriately so that everyone can benefit from it, than to have everyone who wants the same thing to individually make identical lists. Even if I do understand the psychological advantage of being able to take action yourself instead of having to wait for the mods to approve your report.
I dunno what the report queue looks like here, but the thing that makes the most sense to me would be to categorize all reports on a weekly basis, group the low risk reports (like changing tags and adding volume numbers) and create a mod group you can afford to expand a little more recklessly in order to improve the throughput of reports...

This would all change if there were more use cases for this feature. Especially if there are use cases where a simple filter won't suffice. I think you can get a lot more people on board with this suggestion, by focusing on expanding reasons for why to use this new feature, rather than defending just this single use case.

Not even just for content, I would rather block artists who post only one page comics than have my feed flooded with their shit.
Could that be solved by adding a format category instead, so you can exclude the tag in your search?

It is easier to add an author filter than a whole new format field that needs to be classified for every series.

Also, how would you even classify it? I consider most single digit page the same level, others do not. For that matter, not all series with similar page counts are equal, I don't think people would put the generic couple of pages oneshot on the same level as that green tinted 4 page series the name of which escapes my memory.

I mean, you just classified a collection of entries that Luoir seemed to agree with. I don't know what this "green tinted 4 page series" is you mentioned, but the question is: if people would use the new filter, would most people agree that it would cover most of the entries they intended to filter in/out? Regardless of filter, you're always going to get gray areas. Similarly, an author could also branch out from the the genre/format you intended to exclude.

And yes, it's considerably easier to add a new category to filter on, than to add an author blacklist feature for every single account to add entries to. It certainly is from a dev's perspective and if the category is applied properly, it will serve everyone (both with and without an account). And like I said before, the feature would be pretty disappointing if a lot of people will end up with (almost) identical blacklists.

But maybe I don't understand your use case properly. That's why I asked the question in the first place.
I consider most single digit page the same level, others do not.
Maybe you can expand on that a little more. What makes one entry with single page chapters different from another? Why would one person want to exclude one, but not the other? Could you point to actual entries to illustrate your point?
Maybe I'm asking really basic stuff that everyone here already understands, but I would appreciate it if you could help me understand as well.
