I still don't get why princess Edith is higher than mc. Isnt she the emperor's stepdaughter, and the empress died before the emperor i think. He also probably didn't adopt her, so she's not really royalty either since she's a child from her mother's previous marriage and if her mom wasn't married to another emperor than her status wouldn't be cemented.
