Well I call this good writing. There are countless survival mangas kinda like this out there, and the betrayals happen all the time, but this one doesnt seem forced like most of those mangas. The girl doesnt act like a total shit and seems trouble by the choice, and we also kinda understand why she has to do it - she was scared and she has to find her bf (which i believe would turn out to be a total dickhead btw), still kinda a bitch but understandable.
And yeah im talking about those trashy survival mangas where the betrayal was way more predictable and over the top just for the shake of being edgy smh, this is way better written. Hope this manga get more popular so that 1 it wont get axed and 2, we keep getting regular translations like this

The more you read the series, to be fair MC is basically setting things back to zero with this move. Both to himself and as a community, if gods had trapped me in such a crap place, i would feel mad, so mad that I would want anyone to reach the peak and end this forsaken places destiny so that no one ever gets fooled into going there again. That's where community Is needed if we find enough people to work on something we will achieve it. So the girl to basically end the village yes I'm fuming.
