Anyways, I'd like to hear some theories on the panels in this chapter, including e.g. who is that person on panel 15, and whether the person on the last panel is the Miko or not (has she shown up in any previous chapter?)

The story is average but the character design, the landscapes and the art is so great and original that i can't not follow it.

Agree with everything except for the story part, which is genius level IMO as well, at least for a lot of the concepts and scenarios which I don't think any run-of-the-mill writer can ever come up with in their wildest dreams. As of the overarching plot about the abyss itself, I don't think we can draw any conclusions before the story ends (where I'm sure Tsukushi will not disappoint, and honestly even if it ends up underwhelming it won't erase the brilliance of the previous arcs). To me he is a genius probably on a similar level to SCA-JI. But yeah I know there are different tastes and aspects people pay attention to, and maybe I just haven't read enough mangas lol.

Yep, story is personal tastes, is not i dislike it to the degree that i read this manga as a slideshow but i found it sometimes dull and anticlimatic. Where this mangaka really shine is the very unique art.

Also agree with your reply about lolicon art, is simply an archetype, a way of drawing characters with some features, but authors who draw lolis 99% have not interest in real people, these are two different matters completely. That's why anime lolis art was never banned in the first place.

A large part of it is clearly a difference in perceptions around this whole lolicon/pedophile thing between the East and the West (which might even have been further exacerbated in the past couple of years). "Pedophile" is unambiguously a word with negative, criminal connotations in the West, while in the East "lolicon" is a subculture label/taste that is openly discussed in all the mainstream discourse on anime/manga/light novels/visual novels etc., and as you can see in this case can even be openly defended by a world-famous artist in Japan.

I've been reading this title since I was in highschool over 6 years ago. I've read every chapter twice and followed every announcement of a series and movie. I love the story and the art. He is extremely talented, yet it makes me want to vomit when I see how he chooses to depict his child characters. How dare you accuse me of being a "tourist"
