Dude's muscles could carry a crapton of load and supplies, tank for you in case you get ambushed by enemies, and racial ability probably includes some note-worthy magic resistance. Plus, guy could give a good scrubbing if they decide to go to a hot spring inn (unlike loli that can't enter the male's bath), carry you out of battle if you get disabled and you could get a connection to dragon race villages if you have him as a companion.
