@Drifter After revising it again I think it's a bit of both really. In the previous chapters they specifilally said that they expect a "Boss" monster that was not on the original request listing from the village ^{(because the villagers couldn't afford it)} but I do think that what they ware referring to is something akin to a pack leader, or an alpha wolf, the term "Boss" may be a bit of a forced term by the author since the setting is a gamelike world. They didn't suspect that the leader would be an advanced species and it just happened that it was a "Death Wolf", so it's both a boss and a pack leader.
My translation is a bit sloppy but I think I can do better in the future as I gain more expirience in interpreting the context, this was my first time doing this so it was inevitable that I'd make some mistakes.

It looks like there are multiple people who don't really like the washed out contrast, I've kept it as this is how it was in the raws and it was my personal preference but I'm here to make other people happy so I will probably tune it for high contrast, I'm also in a process of deciding on a better font so I will update it once that's done.

A good point of reference would be to look where the darkest shaded area is, and chances are that those areas are meant to be pitch black (like the center of the wolf's eye for example in the image you provided), and should show up as Hex value of #000 after editing it when using the eyedropper tool in your program of choice. Some Raw scanners don't do any image correcting when they scan physical prints, and even some digital raws from the original source fail to get it right for whatever reason (could be as simple as not calibrating their monitor's settings correctly) which often needs to be fixed later on when scanlating.

Yes you are right this isn’t a snipe I didn’t know what term i should’ve used I just find it funny that galaxy degen would upload a flawed chapter rather than giving away the serie sorta like if they were reclaiming it.
