Being "near origin" is more of a talent/genetic thing.
"going back to the origins" is emulating the behaviour from those "scary, but powerful" times.

From what we've got in the past chapters:
1. She wants anybody
2. Most demons are scared of her
(She'd also want someone who wouldn't play around with/betray her, but I'm assuming she doesn't know Iruma is a certified good boy unless Shax told her)
∴ She'll aim for a Demon who wouldn't be scared of her

And someone high in either ranks, nobility, or both wouldn't be likely to.

meh... with the setup, it'll probably be a long drawn out fight. with Iruma being central because, as Bachiko once said, Demons find Archery boring/annoying/hard to learn. and Phantom just said he can "steal" fighting techniques as well. But probably won't or can't steal Archery which will be the weakness to a group effort...
