In some supernatural series whether we are talking about TV series or anime there is the notion of purgatory which is the world between heaven and hell; the world of the living and the world of the dead.

So I think that the place where Ameri and Iruma ended up could be Nishi's interpretation of the term purgatory.

What makes me think that place could be the equivalent of a kind of purgatory would be those flowers that are both from the human world and the demon world.

I also think that hand could be Derkila's hand. And from what I remember from the Re zero series, in a similar dimension
