To be fair, deception, impersonation, instigation...all of his actions here are pretty fitting for a true demon.

Deception and instigation maybe, but certainly not impersonation, especially since we don't really see any of the other demons pulling it off. At least it's not something that's commonly practiced in the Netherworld, except by some demons here and there, so I certainly wouldn't consider it fitting for a "true demon".

This is really cool when you consider the myth of Azazel. Azazel is a fallen angel who lusted for human women in the disputed biblical Book of Enoch and granted humanity forbidden knowledge. He and his fellow Watchers, the fallen angels originally tasked with watching over humanity, had children with human women called Nephilim who became known as giants and are responsible for the corruption of Earth and its people and are why God deemed the great biblical flood necessary. He is classified as a demon in demonology because of this. Henri loved what appears to be a woman of another species, possibly a divinity, and now his daughter with her loves a human boy. The Azazels loving partners that aren’t their own species and being tasked with the responsibility of supervision seems to be how Nishi Osamu tied the Azazels in the story to the myth that inspired their surname

I don't know, I doubt Ameri's mother is a human. It makes no sense.

My guess is that she's an angel, or the equivalent of that world. And she had to leave the underworld because the netherworld's air is like poison to them the more exposure they get....that or Ameri's birth took something out of her (or was given willingly) and into Ameri.

Why?

The demons seem to be operating on the western culture of social interactions. That means that family name is used in official interactions, while first name is casual or looser ones. For almost no one would Iruma's family name be relevant under those circumstances since he was never in a position of authority regarding those he spoke with.
