A truly beautiful chapter. I was especially struck by how you can see Clara's reaction and her maturity. She probably immediately realized that the first person they needed to look for as an ally for Iruma was Ameri. She probably doesn't want to involve her because she sees her as a rival, but for Iruma's sake, she's willing to take the risk of involving the rival who could "steal" Iruma from her.

I love moments like these! The trope of gathering every person the character had helped or saved so that they can repay the character just brings me to tears. So glad I don't have to dread chapter updates again, it's time for a counter attack! So to list whose gonna be in it:

Can't say the entire school is gonna be there but The Misfits are a given, as well as the faculty. The student council and Magic Tool Batra. Gonna be some real injustice happening if Eiko ain't there.

We know possibly 3-4 members of 13 crowns to side with Iruma. One of them belongs to a clan that should be in support of Iruma as well, second is planning to make him Demon King, third one just gave his blessing, and the fourth is Amaryllis.

Then we have the Many Eared Tribe, and possibly Thoth (fingers crossed)

Im guessing from the mini arc that iruma will be saved by all the allies Sullivan will be kicked from the 13 crowns the princess will be evicted from the throne and there will be a massive memory wipe with a select few able to remember or we have an arc in the human world with the gang trying to get back being harassed by human government or special demon human team or Ali is going to be the mcguffin

Are we reaching the final point of the manga? To be honest I thought we'd experience all grades of the school, graduation and such. I didn't think it would end until at least 800 chapters, but it seems like the series is going to end much sooner than that and it scares me

Yay, Ameri is finally getting involved in this. This is literally gonna be like assembling the avengers and they’re gonna be fighting boarder patrol like it was everyone vs Thanos

I wish Kalego would participate in the Iruma rescue mission. Or if Kalego is like a "scared dog", at least let the misfits; Ameri; Silvia; Chima who are students at Babyls and other members of the 13 crowns like Mephisto; Amarylis and Bachiko+Gyari and the rabbit tribe take care of it by saving Iruma and attacking the border police.

As an idea I put the term "scared dog" in quotes because I think that/believe that Kalego is scared of facing his brother and having a "bloody" battle with him. And the part with the word bloody in quotes I thought of the version in which Kalego kills Narnia.

Almost like immigrants that don't cause problems, contribute and integrate into society will always be welcomed and wanted.
Really makes you think.
Yeah.
If you're looking at it from that point of view, then from the perspective of most of demon society, he is a troublemaker (literally a misfit). On his first day of school, he recited a dangerous spell (Sullivan's fault, but still). He introduced the idea of friendship, which is foreign to demon society. He made his teacher, an esteemed rank 8 demon, into his familiar. He disrespected Delkira by taking Royal One. He helped the Many-Ears tribe form their own country despite the wishes of the rest of demon society and a leading member of Demon Border Patrol- and in the process of doing to, he ended up not only defying, but attacking one of their members.

I'm not saying he should be deported, but an important part of his story is that he's not a demon and has introduced new ideas and perspectives to the demon world that have at time clashed with demon ideology, while assimilating in other ways.

I think Iruma being beloved by so many may wind up backfiring in a way. Baal orchestrated this whole setup. He surely knows how connected Iruma has gotten with a whole host of influential demons. I expect him to offer his own hefty influence as a bargaining chip; Iruma's freedom in exchange for supporting his ascension to demon king.

also why did balam have to think 'i hope that's all they'll do him' 😭 thats just foreshadowing theyre going do something even worse omg i hope they don't hurt iruma
Human blood is valuable, as it seems to have various properties in the demon world, such as healing demons and promoting the rapid growth of organic matter. If I were in charge of Demon Border Control, I would not publicize that Iruma is human. Instead, I would lock him deep within the facility and claim that Iruma is a traitor to the demon world and has been executed. Then I would use Iruma's blood to strengthen Demon Border Control and sell it on the black market to generate off-balance-sheet funds. I would also conduct various experiments on Iruma to see what other properties human blood has, both offensively (e.g., can giving too much human blood to a demon kill them?) and defensively. However, I wouldn’t torture Iruma, since he would need to remain in good health to serve as my blood supply.

The main counter to my strategy is what Baal-sensei stated—gather Iruma's allies and inform them of the real situation, not allowing Demon Border Control to control the narrative. Once Iruma's allies know the real situation, they will publicize their side of the story, and a division will form in the demon world between Iruma's allies, those who support Demon Border Control, and those who simply watch. This strategy prevents Iruma from being forgotten.

y'know ive been hand wringing about this maybe being the final arc, but then i remembered that this whole arc kicked off because of a memory wiping spell. as dire as the situation is, iruma's humanity is absolutely a genie that can get put back into the bottle, so long as it doesn't go too public
