Ugh! There have been 7 chapters wasted on this dickhead so far. I doubt she'll be able to get out of his clutches so easily and we'll probably have to suffer with him and his arrogant self for at least another 7 chapters. If she's going to be so wishy-washy, the MC oughta just give up on her and let the dickhead have her. Seeing how easily manipulated she is, who's to say that when he reappears again in another 40 or 50 chapters he won't be able to claim her as his girlfriend again?

@FredFriendly It is to be expected. Story has 7 page/chapter, and even for a normal release, roughly around 20/chap, getting over an ex, especially a highly abusive one does take time. Getting through it in 3-4 chapters in this format would be way too fast.

Two more chapters and the asshole still isn’t murdered in a fiery explosion and stabbed to death (which the justice system 200% forgives because the asshole deserved it) dumped. I really hope I’m not waiting a month or more longer for this guy to get what he deserves (not blaming the translator; love the translation; thank you always). The author really shouldn’t spend this much time creating a really hatable character when the chapters are so short. We readers hate him (as intended) and don’t want to read that many chapters with him in it, and the longer he stays the more we want him to get a death or departure that he deserves.

@Mr-BoyMan_Dude that’s what’s explained here. Most people are only in a toxic relationship (well remain in one), because they have a whole another swarm of issues that prevents them from changing the situation. For her she’s just too nice. She always wants to please everyone, can’t refuse people, and has no self confidence. That’s easy to take advantage of and that’s what that guy is doing (tbh that’s what pretty much what everyone but the mc is/has been doing). It’s not even like someone else can involve the law because he’s not being physically abusive (from what we’ve seen). Just mentally and emotionally, and he’s a literal parasite. For the situation to change she herself needs to feel like she deserves better, needs to stop being scared to refuse others, gain some self confidence, and realize that she has a problem that needs to be worked on (which she is starting to at the end of the chapter; from there she could go to therapy, get help for actual friends, or just make strides on her own to start saying no).

I know it seems it's taking long, but it's actually only been a few pages with this a-hole, and it's a good story to make her develop as someone who can stand up for herself. I guess the brother wasn't just a siscon after all, he probably didn't want yet another jerk to take advantage of his sister.
