What do you mean scummy? They're the official English version, they're allowed to charge money for it and they don't need to give two squirts of rancid goat piss about what the pirate scanlation groups have done already.
As mentioned in support and other threads you can go to the group's page and block them, or visit Settings and go to "group block" and add them there.

How about some solution that works in the update section too? I mean I got that page currently CLOGGED by Manga UP, but didn't want to block them outright, something like a toggle in the page that says for example "toggle by scanlators and official publishers"
I don't think they'll ever do something of that sort, just block the official MangaDex (bot) account that uploads them or the groups in question (until the storm passes).
