I assume you mean Tsukihime, which isn't part of the "Fate" franchise(same universe not same series or even timeline), wasn't "professionally" made(Type Moon was still a doujin circle at the time), and it wasn't the first published in the setting either(that would be the LN version of Kara no Kyoukai), so factually off the mark no matter which is the case... but even then, so what?
NO Tsukihime and FSN are not from the same universe.
Tsukhime have very weak Human Order> Higher Mysticism > no Heroic spirit summon> Dead aspotles with their RM running around.
FSN have very strong Human Order> Dante burned Roa > No order of 27 dead aspotle.

They are the same universe, that is, the Nasuverse, but they are on different timelines where the events that transpired in the past are quite different and lead to a starkly different "meta" and circumstances, but that's neither here nor there for the thread itself.

This reminds me of a time I watched two people-- one of them knew about Tsukihime but not Fate, and the other one knew about Fate and not Tsukihime.

Both of them had to inform the other that the protagonist of the series they weren't familiar with, potentially sodomizes a heroine.

Ah, Jaimini's Box, now that was a huge drama clusterfuck.

And for the most part I agree with the rest. In the big picture, losing a handful of titles isn't a huge problem.

What is a huge problem is:
  • the attitude NamiComi staff has towards the MD user community
  • the hyprocracy of the staff's official communications on the matter
  • the complete lack of transparancy regarding the whole affair
  • the fact that the non-NamiComi MD staff seem to no longer be in control of their own community
  • the fact that they (presumably) caved to UK legal complaints because MD is now a registered business in the UK (when did that happen and why?)
  • and perhaps most importantly, the precedent this sets for the future
To think someone still remembers Jamini's now closed paybox.
