I don't know the context to the second image, but I assume this chapter came out over a month ago, so any controversy within the past 30-ish days was just poor timing for the artist and author. That first image was probably drawn up at least half a month before this chapter was released in Japan. Also, a suppressed Five-Seven hits differently in light of recent events:

Did he just shout in a STEALTH mission?! He clearly living up to the title name
...I didn't say the mangaka took inspiration from it.I don't know the context to the second image, but I assume this chapter came out over a month ago, so any controversy within the past 30-ish days was just poor timing for the artist and author. He has the excuse of enhance hearing, so he can hear through wallsIt's either the greatest or shittiest soundproofing job ever. You can hear people talking at a normal volume level a floor below, but they can't hear Blackman screaming vengeance after they're done talking.
I vaguely remember it being poorly written and upon checking, it seems i rated it a 5 out of 10 last time i read it. I think at the very least it was always a meh powertrip with bad writing. People into firearms might ignore the poor story bc gunz r kool i guess.I know it's been a while since I had last read this series, but I don't remember it being this poorly written? I do recall this being pretty blatant isekai power fantasy slop, but was it always this bad?
Page 5: Guy delivers letter with an arrow
Page 6: MC goes "huh, that guy delivered a letter with an arrow"
Page 8: Bandit at the front gate asks "did you deliver the arrow letter" and Guy responds "yeah I delivered the arrow letter"
Page 10: MC thinks "that letter must be for the magic stone purchasing rights"
Page 15: Bandit tells Evil Noble "we delivered the arrow letter" and Evil Noble says "Soon I will get the magic stone purchasing rights I demanded in that arrow letter"
Not counting Page 1 being from the translator, this chunk of a chapter was only 15 pages long and yet repeated the same few points so many times... And they weren't even all that important! Who cares that the ransom letter was specifically delivered with an arrow? What's the point of having the MC speculate about the letter's contents if we immediately get the same answer from spying on Evil Noble and Bandit anyways?
