I'm going to second the sentiment that the ghost should have been a one time occurrence. If she was a ghost forcing herself to remain in the world of the living just long enough to see her husband get remarried and move on, then the story works, and it makes sense for her to help Reitia's marriage with Galt because she'd be moving on to the world of the dead. But if she remains at the grave and Galt can see her whenever he wants, then I'd think that he and her would still feel like they're married. Now it feels like Galt's just abandoning his wife's ghost because she's stuck at the grave. Plus, is her soul just always going to be there, alone, only having respite from an eternity alone the few times her husband comes to visit her with his new family? Sure, it sucks that she can't move and they can't touch (or have sex), and I don't think he should leave Reitia, but it's an awkward situation and the author's just ignoring how weird it is. All of the uncomfortable questions could be avoided by saying, "And now I move on, and I can never show up again."
