Okay so she's in love with the hero because he saved her as a kid...
That just makes her being a murderous necromancer of the demon army even more retarded ngl

I'm just waiting for the inevitable "tee hee I never actually killed anyone and was actually trying to stop my dad from starting the war lol" chapter

From what I see other than FMC everyother demon till now was scumbags. And they did real harm to humanity. So to some extent the humans fear of Lisselotte is justified. Evem demon king plan is to use her to deytroy humans. It's just lise who is weird.

The gesture and any movement in this chapter is DUMB. The hero seems hesitated and wants to let her continue.
BUT in the other side, it is good that he didn't do a thing. If he realizes there's some spell, the DARK SPELL even, he would still be thinking the demon race is still to blame and fail to believe the truce, that is frail anyway.

But STILL, man the gestures of this chapter is PAINFUL TO LOOK AT!

Call me Salem, the way I'm going to absolutely destroy this witch.
Salem trails: 25 dead
England during Hopkins: 300-400 dead
Wurzburg witch trails: 900 dead
Switzerland witch hunts: 10,000 dead

Salem was chump change next to the horrors of Europe. I never got why it's always hyped as the be all and end all of witch trails when it's probably the tamest.

Because it was popularized by modern Pop Culture during the early 2000's-2010's.
Same reason people are far more familiar with the atrocities of Adolf Hitler, compared to the likes of Mao Zedong and Genghis Khan, who eclipse him.

"Why isn't the hero doing anything?" Because he actively doesn't want to be married to this woman, he harbors an incredibly deep hatred for demons on account of the whole murdering-humans thing, he didn't previously have reason to suspect Celestina is up to anything nefarious (especially not to this degree), and, most notably, he is very likely politically savvy enough to know that laying his hands on the human princess to save the demon princess would end extremely poorly for him once the rest of the human royalty faction find out. (He may also suspect that Celestina is not actually physically capable of choking out a demon, and he's probably right.) We readers have the benefit of omniscience, so we know what's going on inside Liselotte's and Celestina's heads and having our rooting interests accordingly. Swordbro here doesn't have that.
And he does nothing to prevent it at all where if the human princess did kill the demon princess it would be all out war again.
Obviously even if he doesn't like the marriage he's aware that humans are not in any place to negotiate out of conflict the fucking death of their princess by human hands would cause. He should have gone in and broke it up, instantly. This makes him look either incredibly selfish or incredibly stupid.

It wasn't just the the 2000's I remember seeing it a lot in the 80's and 90's too. I think it was probably pushed the most during the 'red scare' where it was used as an analogy for 'unfair persecution' of treacherous communists.
Also I was actually talking to a friend last night who's dad was a Cambodian refugee that fled Pol Pot and he brought up the Khmer Rouge's baby killing tree, where they would hold an infant by it's ankles and whip it's head against a tree to kill it.

And I had to explain to him China's '100 childless days', it was when in 1991 the Chinese government decided that Chinese women were just having to many kids and in Shandong they started forcing mass abortions onto any pregnant woman they found and even worse if they found out that you managed to hide your pregnancy and give birth, they would rip the baby from your arms and throw it into a mass grave. By some reports they didn't even bother to kill the newborns before throwing them in. It's insane to me that people don't know about this shit but it's mostly because our schools don't teach about it for political and ideological reasons.
McCarthy was right and did literally nothing wrong.

I don't get it, the hero here looks completely lost and useless. He just looks like a dumb, confused NPC standing around doing absolutely nothing :haa: he looks like this:

thank you for translation
His name is a hint to this because he makes me feel pain whenever he does anything. Sasuga author-sama!

But why bother even bursting in there just to stand there?
