Also The adventurer with no face seems a bit sus.... Also it's unlikely the system creator couldn't be tricked by Black jumping into the adventurer's body and killing his shell body right???

It's been made very clear from basically chapter 1 that the demon lord CANNOT move the crystal whence it has been placed down

Actually no that is not correct at all. It can be move in dungeon, though can't be moved if a enemy is in the room its in or being moved to. This is used for when changing the layout of the dungeon and adding rooms, but can also be used to mess with opponents. Though does cost DP as its part of the floor swap function. This sort of trick can be used with long rooms such as maze rooms as a stall tactic as you keep moving the goal around. The outside of a dungeon is also insanely customizable, so he could make it suddenly look like ruins, and just move his core to a new hidden zone, faking a collapsing dudgeon.
That said despair's death wasn't even in the source, nor black stating his plan to posses him. This was a change because the novel readers questioned blacks death assuming he probably possessed someone. So this was just a low effort change to tell us no that didn't happen.

The creator is a massive troll who wants them to entertain him. Its not a matter of would he be tricked, its a matter of would he go along with it, and he absolutely would.
As for the adventurer, he is a manga original, so they probably just didn't bother.

I think It is used to reinforce just how much he underestimated humans.
As well as to try and actually show that they died and not just possess somebody to escape.
Nothing of this was in the novel as far as I remember.

He had a backup plan that no demon lord on MC´s side had known about.
But by pure chance, it was ruined by humans who he considered useless.

Maybe its me being overly suspicious, but that adventurer looks like he may just be that demonlord of despair (at least based on the partial look).

It would be so fitting if, in this moment of Black being in such despair himself, that demonlord could hold some greater power over him just like Black holding power over those with hate (or whatever the emotion was).

It would also explain why he would make a contract to give up his body. The only time it would come up was that time when black would experience despair (since when else would he 'stoop' to relying on his failsafe.

I do love this theory.
I don't believe it to be true.
But it would be cool if it was.

It would mean he destroyed his dungeon and gave up on everything just to fuck over Balam (AKA Black).
Despair is not a new demon lord so he would not get his powers back afterwards.

Granted he could have transferred all his important demons to another and they would have survived at least.
But he would be just a regular person.
