Name 3 instances.
Realizing that MC was doing this crazy stuff without any political purpose, and therefore entrusting him with LOTS of important work and taking him out of school.

The stunt the mage corp did just now, Welner didn't plan any of that.

The merchants signing on for a long, distant journey, with the mercenaries noticing that Welner made specific arrangements and taking full advantage of the maps he provided.

How Welner's parents are (trying) to handle him, both in the troops provided and forcing him to do some of the political stuff to keep a solid guard.

The prince repeatedly monitoring him personally, making plenty of indirect plans using Welner as a chess piece, whether or not Welner picks up on the plan and follows it.

I really hope they don't ruin it by making the MC the only competent character. I don't want this to be a self jerk story where everyone starts stroking the MC. Hopefully the other characters start getting some respect and development.
We need to see how the manga will deal with the later events since it fixes many things compared to LN/WN. IIRC after the reverse siphon idea of all things the WN/LN kinda turns into "SASUGA WERNER-SAMA" wank, but it gets better as it gets further as we will get some intrigues or battles where the writer isn't able to waste most of the chapter to explain how lower ranking aristocrats have lower political power/authority than the higher ranking ones. Or some other obvious concepts that try to make MC smarter than he is, when we already saw him being smart in his actions before.
It also allows other characters to expand upon his ideas or even use certain items that Werner orders in a surprising way. That said the OG story is still much better than your average isekai story and it keeps true to the title.
Also the best part about this series is that the biggest fangirls of MC are old men in power who, like the Crown Prince, want to keep him around by any means necessary, quite often allowing him to do seemingly crazy stuff or manipulating current political situation, knowing that it will make the war much easier down the line.
But yeah, the biggest problematic element of the series is the RPG mechanics, an by that I mean mostly the monster loot system. Like some things can only be made from X part of Y monster, when the world seems like to be so familiar to our own that it should have been possible to use natural materials to replace it. That said Werner isn't a walking encyclopedia of everything ever, so I can turn a blind eye to such fragments.

The first is just leaving it to him and I don't think most people would qualify asking someone else to work as necessarily competent. The last point, well I haven't read the novel so I'll just have to trust you on this (and I really hope you're right, I want a good story too). Parents telling their kid how to behave or paying for some his expenses while of course welcome idk if I would count that as being significant at this point, maybe further on in the story. Everything else is just other following his instructions and thats kinda my point? I don't want the MC to be the only source of good ideas. Other characters should be more than just tools who are good for certain tasks. Maybe we just have different standards for what counts and doesn't count as competent side characters and if that's the case then rip I guess. I don't mean to disrespect your taste.

But they're not, that's the point. It's not (always) "I never thought of doing this", it's "I've never been given this much stuff" or "I know exactly what to do with this" or "This is what I need to do to profit while still fulfilling Welner's request"

Anyone notice what the magical tools are? From what I see, we have a fan, portable stove, steam iron, what is that other box-like thing?

Who's Mazel again?
The hero, not the protagonist, the original hero of the game.

I had read the raws for this chapter but didn't really understood this part for problems with the text, now I understand, the hero family is harassed from the village because they want him back to protect them, or very likely, got promised a reward from some noble that will get him after he leaves the royal capital protection.

The posts above say she is the heroine of the story, I presume the meaning is that MC will fall for her (sayonara guild clerk-chan), after all the noble lady that super respect MC have a big wall in getting close to him.

If I were to BS my way on why the phenomenon never got discovered, it’d be “The founding of the academy led to more trained mages now than ever,” or something.
