Poor husband?! He thought in the 1st chapter that it was a suicide and not a murder. I would have left him too if he didn't believe what the wife saw. It's obvious he is only going by the forced letter by their son and not his wife's words. I agree with her leaving him. She wants revenge and he looks like the type to stop her.
In what page does it show that he didn't believe his wife's word?
It's obvious she never told him about the diary.

Gotta love it when your TS goes rogue and uploads a chapter without approval. I'll be reporting this to Mangadex so expect the chapter to get taken down soon.

Thanks for stealing our script.
I'm not defending anything since I don't know what's going on but, do keep in mind that your release is far behind that of the other languages.

The dumbass didn't take his son's problems seriously and failed as both father and man. Nothing "poor" about it
1. He's a police inspector and is busy all the time. Not the best excuse but his job is important and is required for the lifestyle they live. No two ways about it.

2. His son hid all of this. Even his mother who felt like something was wrong couldn't figure it out meaning he did a fairly decent job hiding his pain

3. He probably believed in the suicide note because of his background and was just ready to accept it.

I agree with the commentor I feel for the husband just as much as the wife.

Also, being a less than perfect parent isn't the same as being a bad parent. Parents are human and they miss things sometimes. Especially, as you said, considering the fact that the kid was doing a bang up job hiding everything.

We should all remember that the mother isn't the only one who lost a kid here; the father must have torn himself apart wondering where he went wrong or what he could have done differently. She isn't the only one grieving.

While I do understand that leaving him was a necessity for her plan, I'd be interested to see if the story shows her to be torn up at all about just abandoning her husband like that.

Mother will probably systematically drove all the bullies to insanity / suicide. Everyone will think it's a coincidence but husband will be the only one who noticed something. He'll probably reopened his son case and see he was wrong which led to much angst. There is 50/50 chance he fell in love with mother without realizing she's his ex wife. This kind of story practically writes itself.
This is so cliche that it's gonna happen with 99% certainty

Oof, had to suck dick to get that job.

She went through all that preparation and now that she's there, is she gonna go through the torment or straight up murder route? Both?

I just hope she doesn't get caught monologuing.

Edit 2: Uploader contacted someone else, paid them for a TL, and used that TL for this upload. Since he blocked us without saying anything, we could only assume that he stole our TL and made some changes before uploading.

Edit: We have an active case with Mangadex admins on this issue and are waiting on further updates from them. Seems like the uploader contracted someone else to TL.

Hello, I'm the translator he paid for this chapter.
The new account is just because I'm the type who reads manga without bothering to create one.

To clarify, and what was dm-ed to me, the uploader pinged the group multiple times to do the SFX and they did not respond.
He reached out to me to fill in the SFX in which case I accepted.
Upon receiving the script I notice the whole thing is either MTL or they had someone who could barely understand Japanese. most of it was mistranslated and in very broken English.
I rewrote the whole script in a span of 4 hours. [TLing from the raws, not the given script] If a comparison is made I am sure over 99% of the script is different.
It won't even be considered citation at this point, much less claiming someone else's work as my own.

Edit: The staff did check both scripts and deemed that there wasn't any plagiarism.

I do not know what's with the drama between the 2 parties but I would like to clarify that I did not plagiarize the original TL.
As discussed with Mangadex, I will continue the TL as per contracted by the uploader, and we will be considered 2 different groups.

I do not have an issue with the said scan group, I'm just a paid TL, and here to take credit where it is due.

Yet his wife found out everything just by checking his room

I was hoping at least one of the kids would have reformed because that would have made things much more interesting.

Still of the villains, the one who clearly was gay for the son is the most interesting. Shame I know this isn't going to end well.

So what if it was?
Just a general observation, but women are just general at writing compelling drama in manga then men. There's a lot of stupidity here, like that the porno being leaked in the first chapter is just her face photoshopped onto existing porn and not actual blackmailing material. the fact the car wouldn't have seen the kid getting run over, the fact the person driving the car never got charged for accidental manslaughter, the fact it took the mom like a day to find all this evidence definitively proving he was being bullied and never went to the police with it, the fact the bullies were just able to cover up their involvement in a way that is never explained and which the investigators buy uncritically , the aspect of the divorce being entirely undeserved and unnecessary, etc.

There's a lot of holes and contrivances in this story and I've noticed other manga, usually written by women, do these things better. Kimi ni Aisarete Itakatta, although much darker as a story, does a lot of this stuff better for instance. I think the start here is a bit rough and bit too fixated on sex and shock value over the narrative and making those shocking moments contextualized well.
