Also, the dude called the cops/back-up (which is also why the bully ran away instead of fighting). People are coming to find him fucked up and provide emergency medical treatment. Finally, give it some time. Usually stories like this will have a cheesy brief flashback where we'll see Mary actually come to his aid to make sure he's already; but he'll be like half-conscious and delirious so he'll see her like a holy angel coming to his rescue. Cut to him thousand-yard staring in his hospital bed recovering, "...Was that really a dream? Was she actually there? Why would she be there? How would she have known?"

Watch. Fucking calling it. It'll happen in like 3-5 chapters from now.

Him getting back with her and maybe hiding what happened would count as tragedy 🥲

Author saved the series, although barely. I don't doubt this guy can beat up an adult, but it's still kinda pathetic the dad lost. Meanwhile, the stupid kid almost ruined her plans and was idiotic enough to stop for a drink and then whine about being caught. Hopefully she was tailing him because she knew he was gonna ruin her plans so, I guess he did his job as bait.

Honestly, I'm expecting her to die. I feel like she's gonna have a pyrrhic-victory with the main antagonist/lead-bully where she does kill him with his own hubris/self-centeredness; but he's able to get a slow but lethal wound. She then dies like a mythical modern Saint for the Downtrodden and bullied-victims, especially teenagers. Cut to a scene in the near-future where a minor-character or a random bullied-victim stands up for himself viciously near a mural/tribute of her. I'm noticing a lot of hints in this series of her being treating like a divine Saint and shit.
