next chapter coming on the 30th btw. they were prolly on vacation during christmas/new year's
last saturday they just reposted the wsj special on sj+ (at least it had a new illustration of mira kamiunten)

also, to the ppl complaining about the art: remember that this is a web manga with absolutely shitty pay. so the artist prolly got no assistant(s) helping him. since they're a two-piece, the author needs to finish the storyboard/name/whatever before the artist can even start drawing, further reducing the draw time the artist has left between chapters.
and comparing the first three chapters with the rest is especially pointless as these are drawn before a serialization officially starts. so it's kinda obvious that they're way better looking since the artist has way more time.

The girls are all hot and this is so much better than Akame ga Kill. Closest comparison to this is Twin Star Exorcist and Parallel Paradise.

@mngdxy i think so too. but others found the art in the first three chapters better. and i tend to agree that especially the facial expressions in chapter one are brilliant.

I'll riot if Tenka doesn't win. She is by far waay better than the other girls.

This manga has enough potential to blow up in domestic market, so why is the release schedule so fucked? Is this manga not selling well in Japan?

@Arin-san in what way is the schedule fucked? it releases every two weeks, except for foreseeable breaks (christmas/new year's, obon etc).

@Galder At first, it was three chapters in a month, then it switched to 2 chapter a month, then it went to 1 chapter a month (Chapter 50-51), you call this a normal schedule? That's WAY too many breaks. As far as I know, mangas don't take breaks in Christmas, New Year is acceptable. In now way is this a normal schedule, there's no deadline, no nothing, it just looks like nobody cares. Which is why I asked if it's not selling well, if it was selling well and there is a demand for it, then the release schedule wouldn't be inconsistent like this.

@Arin-san it never switched anything. it's always one chapter every two weeks (i.e. every 14 days) since launch in december 2018. the sj+ website has release dates for all chapters so far (which can be accessed, even though the chapters themselves cannot).
lastly, this is a WEB MANGA. so the pay grade is among the lowest in the industry. factor in the steadily declining payouts for mangaka in general due to the piracy as well as japan being one of the most expensive places to live on earth and you can tell he's probably not exactly getting rich doing this. so i'm almost 100 % certain that he has either no assistant at all or only someone for the finishing touches. this would explain the breaks every time he has to come up with several new character designs or something similar (for example the break before the gathering of the chiefs started).

@Arin-san Certain online communities such as these paint a false picture.

The majority of manga/anime customers are men.
Men being portrayed as inferior slaves is not going to garner revenues like a story about Women being slaves.

Men are already oppressed in Japan (and the rest of the world) as it is, there is no need to pay for it.

There are other online communities that have only kept an eye on this because of the art.

If it does go anywhere, it's only because it was pushed by certain powers.

If you look at this vs Redo Healer or any revenge story, the stories themselves are trash, but the art and those who get abused are key.
It would be kind of silly, but I am willing to bet that if this story had the genders reversed, there would be more support (despite the mangadex community downvoting), and this would already be getting an adaptation.
