Wait mister asshole actually said something sensible ? that part about telling girls to break up with their boyfriends if they get jealous of them actually having good grades.

Doesn't change the fact that he's a disgusting human being, actually that makes it even worse, seeing as he's very clear on a lot of things and still did all that.

"Sniff sniff"

Can you smell that?

That's the smell of the author planning to let this piece of shit get away with sexually exploiting a girl who knew nothing of sex.

I fear this dude is gonna get off with a slap at the wrist at most.

Is it just me or is the whole "couple meeting the sexually experienced gf's ex" becoming a trope or like a "thing" now? Sure, it's existed before, but just today we've had Keikenzumi, & now this manga is seeming like it's going to head in that direction as well, and I'm sure these aren't the only very recent examples of this plot device. Maybe it's just recency bias though.

Thanks for the translation, as always!!

Wait he said her name and the dude didn't recognize it? Is he not actually the guy and we got jebaited?
He's most definitely the guy, but Koga said the name as part of a stream of consciousness so it may have not registered w/ ex or ex may have decided it's not worth mentioning. Like he's been consistently portrayed as conflict avoidant & that's part of why he drops relationships the moment they get hard.

It's entirely possible he recognised it. He's someone with the skills to manipulate people, and he's not too shy to put those skills to use. Like explained in this chapter, in his work he actually "manipulates" students to become more successful, since being successful not only depends on talent & effort but a person's attitude as well. But being a popular guy, he also uses his skills to form short relationships for sexual purposes, including girls he definitely shouldn't have touched. So, he's exactly the kind of person who wouldn't expose himself haphazardly by reacting to a familiar name, unless it suited his purposes.

I can't yet tell if he's a narcissist, though, or if he simply has questionable morals and a lifestyle that most wouldn't consider proper.

Wouldn't say "a thing now" as the gigaslutxloser genre took off some years ago and is still pretty big. This chapter released like 4+ish(?) months ago and the TL releases just happened to be close. Think this is just recency bias because of that.

Also, this development seems like the most rational decision in the genre as it is easy drama/development/filler or whatever way it wants to be used. Meguro here for example introduced Sensei early on and he was a recurring entity still of importance to Meguro (see chapter 30.5 where she says she still loves Sensei and is thankful even after understanding that she was groomed(which I personally thought of as a weird decision by the author but w.e.))

At this point I think them meeting will happen with how much screentime Sensei got (even with how useless he was)

You did not have that in Keikenzumi.

Ya'll are missing the point of his character. Dude is super aromantic. He probably finds the fact that Koga is dating her amusingly ironic at best

Same, but I think it's part of closing out the manga by going full circle on Meguro's development. Like the contrast between he got w/ Meguro when she was studying for high school exams and Koga is navigating supporting her through her college exams. Current Meguro would almost definitely not go for him cause she's started understanding that she has needs and wants and all the rest.

Like explained in this chapter, in his work he actually "manipulates" students to become more successful, since being successful not only depends on talent & effort but a person's attitude as well.
Eh, is just good teaching to meet students where they're at. He's also right about maintaining boundaries w/ students cause the goal is to let them go-he's a bad tutor cause he blurred boundaries by going after a student and he's got a trash view on relationships.
