You do realize that the Gate of this one is Government property thus was heavily protected and no the Guard is not affiliated to that Governed noble? Try to capture or attack it, you’re in with heavy resistance and basically declare war to the government. AlsoElma mentions how gates are most important facilities and no one dumb enough will attack it.
Yet in Elite and Eve, nav beacon/gate camp ganking is general standard for pirates and assassins, specially after a system control is taken over by a pirate group.
Different universe, different circus. The scale we're talking about in this one is a gate facility bigger than something like even Starkiller base in Star Wars with the number of ships it can transfer all at once. Krishna is roughly the size of a Corvette, but all those ships parked on the hull of the gate base are capital ships, and both sides are supposedly protected by thousands of them, including their escort ships, gunships, fighters, base defenses, weapon compliments on each, we're potentially talking about millions of gun barrels and missile arrays that can be brought to bear at once.Elma mentions how gates are most important facilities and no one dumb enough will attack it.

Eh you know the reason they don’t tell its because those “muh noble pride hurrdurr” and “you think we stupid that we don’t think that possibility? We are muh noble dumbass”I think not telling the count is a dumb idea, he helped her without knowing her status at the time, and pretty much already recognized as someone strong and a good strategist (pretty much repelling the attack at the resort place), so the advice would be well received ... if not telling and it happens, it would be more because it was to get more money for saving them and be seen as greedy. (probably this will not happen, but just my 2 cents)
but did the old man actually act like "muh pride" when he met them, it's more about her being prejudiced for the old man that they actually talked.Eh you know the reason they don’t tell its because those “muh noble pride hurrdurr” and “you think we stupid that we don’t think that possibility? But
they do tell in the end via Chris then Chris relay it too the Grandpa
Well in the Manga its not clearly said or visible, but IIRC in LN it is hinted that grandpa acted like that but not too over to the point its disgusting unlike in later arc shown that ridiculousness of the nobles(not the grandpa. Different person). Also its not like Grandpa act like that but others like Mei or Elma pointing that out to MC about noble behaviour since they know MC’s dislikes of noblebut did the old man actually act like "muh pride" when he met them, it's more about her being prejudiced for the old man that they actually talked.
at least they did it, thanks for the info
Also forgot to say this since I just remember about Grandpa. You will see it also on later chapter(not long hopefully) :Well in the Manga its not clearly said or visible, but IIRC in LN it is hinted that grandpa acted like that but not too over to the point its disgusting unlike in later arc shown that ridiculousness of the nobles(not the grandpa. In this universe you'd need to be on the level of a nation to even consider taking one of the empire's gates. Even if you bring in enough ships to beat the fleet guarding this one gate, the defenders can just call for help from all the other gates in the empire so you would end up fighting like half of the empire's military power just to secure that one gate. If you really want to capture that star system it's better to destroy the gate ASAP rather than leaving it intact.Elma mentions how gates are most important facilities and no one dumb enough will attack it.
