I sympathize with her personal issues, but I can't come to like this chick. All these dumbfuck mind games she plays with MC are annoying, feels like she is just taking advantage of his feelings to escape from her own shitty circumstances.

Uuuurgh. Two new chapters, and I feel like I haven't learned anything new at all. I get the impression the author is now being deliberately obtuse. Like MC, I'm not comfortable with the idea that I'm being toyed with.

Each chapter is small, like 12 pages, meanwhile authors obviously don't want to rush the story because making the webtoon = their work.
Like, yeah I get it, but I also understand their perspective, there's no rush, and honestly, the more chapters we have of each character, the more we get attached to them.

I can't imagine what the scope of the consequences would even begin to be but I hope she gets to flip out on her parents for real at least once before the end of this act of the story lol

thanks for the chapter!

There's no need to force yourself if you don't want to get married just do what you want (y)
It's very hard to leave what is familiar for something completely unknown, even if that something is very uncomfortable. Hence her seemingly nonchalant remarks about having Taesoo to go to after she leaves- it would be a jump to something that's at least somewhat familiar. She's gauging how receptive he would be to such a situation but him brushing her off isn't giving her any confidence.

That's not taking into account Korean culture and how hard it actually is for most women to be independent. This is especially true for someone in college without a steady job. People with the fortitude to abandon their family's support before being financially independent like Taesoo are in the minority.

So he is the only one she can be honest which which is why she teases. She also seems to want to be with him but since they both would need to leave their families, she can't because she's afraid of what that would mean especially since they already don't care about her thoughts or opinions.

She just need to be honest and straightforward at this point if she wants to avoid the arranged marriage and run away with MC, the guy is heads over heels for her.

We got more information on Taesoo of the past too, he was looking for Mia all the time just wandering around even years after she disappeared, so that's why Heesoo was hesitant to actually express anything towards him, and he knew about her family and arranged marriage situation and made no move in return. This also explains why he wasn't really mad or angry with Mia after they reunited, and was more relieved that she was alive and okay. Then he went on his mandatory military service and came back two years later and into a new apartment on his own, all along being helped by Heesoo. There's a lot of history between these two as adults, and clearly a lot of unrequited, ironically mutual feelings. Probably more to come in the chapters ahead.

Honestly, we're getting all this background info primarily on the heroines of the story, but really we have very little on Taesoo's background and past that doesn't directly involve the girls... Perhaps following the pattern so far, the arc after Heesoo Sunbae will be Hayoon's, and then a proper Taesoo arc, assuming the harem will stop at only 3 members.

I have a lot of sympathy for how Heesu seems to feel caught between an impending future she doesn't want and the terrible prospect of striking out on her own without familial support. My own life is quite different but I have been in a very similar state of limbo...
