love that Mia's time in that 5 year gap was filled with as big of a stubborn streak as Taesoo's, even if neither of them realized it until now. Maybe it's selfish and maybe it'll cause problems before it leads to anything good but, I'd like to see Mia hold onto that dream of hers a bit longer

thanks for the chapter!

If here mother is dead who is that women then her sister but shes an only child from what we know and she has no other immediate family?
She was adopted. It's stated in Chapter 19. She didn't know until third grade elementary. Her adopted mother treated her as her own daughter anyway. Her adopted father became a deadbeat after losing his business and going bankrupt.

If her mother is dead, why is she paying those people money?

Also, there is another manhwa similar to this called aching heart y'all might want to check out.

Also also, I need to give mia a big hug and to tell her everything will be alright.

The only thing I can think about of is her mother's remains. I think it was in chapter 19 that she says she wasn't able to give her mother a proper funeral, so maybe they cremated her mother and Mia had to take a loan for it? idk how expensive it is, but they were struggling back then, so it would make sense. Deadbeat father squandered the money for the medical bills on booze, so there's no way he is getting a loan for a funeral and I doubt banks will lend to minors, so only the sketchy lenders are left. They might have kept her mother's remains as collateral? I have no clue, but that's the only way I can make sense of her talk with the loan shark/money lender in this chapter.

She got REALLY lucky that the pastor's wife found her and some random dude didn't take her. Though, I guess she was in a crowded place during the day, so it would have been hard for a dude to take her. Still, most people probably would have left her there, so good thing the pastor's wife was there.

I do wonder when Seojin comes into the picture. Mia is 20 right now, she left school/was forced out by her father at 18 and Taesoo said in the first (?) chapter that it had been 5 years since they "broke up" (for the lack of a better term). They were in the same class so birth year, so they are both around 23 right now. She meets Seojin in these 3 years and changes A LOT? Can happen, even more with amnesia and lots of stress, but it's also not guaranteed. We will see.

I believe in South Korea if you accept the inheritance of a deceased relative you have to accept their debt as well. I believe similar systems also exist in Japan and China as well, it’s an incredibly stupid system since it creates generational poverty. But based on stories both real and fictional it seems to be a pervasive societal expectation in that region that the surviving family shoulders the debts of the deceased.

When did her father die? 🤷‍♂️ Surely if the mother had debt, that debt would transfer to her HUSBAND, right?

A quick note on Korean ages:
The traditional way of counting age in Korea is that all babies born are referred to as being 1 year old from the time they are born to January 1 of the following year, when they are referred to as being 2 years old. And that continues each January.

ie age does not start at zero, and it gets incremented for everybody at the same time, irrespective of their actual birth date.

So will this fall be the reason behind her memory loss

From what we've seen in the flashbacks so far, it appears as if her memory gaps, blurred visions, and fainting spells are all symptoms of what is ultimately wrong with her, not the cause.
